There really aren’t that many catching prospects that are close to league ready other than Montero and D’Arnaud
Jose_Bautista
Doubt either are going anywhere.
dylanp5030
Mesoraco and Grandal are both good catching prospects.

Pudge to the Dbacks?
rfffr
Depth of the minor league level most likely.
Snoochies8
A’s have plenty of catchers to boot, d’backs could probably nab one.
rfffr
but aren’t they all terrible?
Snoochies8
Anthony Recker could be a serviceable backup, and landon powell isn’t terrible, just never healthy. He’s really good defensively
Jose_Bautista
It’s interesting to see Orioles were 3rd in the bidding for fielder.
Lastings
Something to be excited about if you’re an O’s fan. I mean when do the Orioles ever come in third (especially in the AL East)?
rfffr
weren’t they second for Teixiera?
skoods
Yes, but he’s from Baltimore so that’s more of a reason for it than anything.
Orioles don’t really surprise me. They should spend their money on pitching, though.
Knowname
It’s a really good thing though! Chris Davis said he’d win MVP this year when traded from the Rangers 😛 lololol
Jose_Bautista
Atleast they have intention to spend, shows they want to win.
Unlike some other teams owned by corportations….
Lunchbox45
arent they proof that spending money doesn’t do anything ? You’d just be appeasing the yappers who barely support the team anyways
cards2WS
Hmmm that’s odd. I would have guessed Tigers, Nats, Rangers
KyleB
I miss Weiland and Erlin, but I wish them the best in San Diego. Wish they were still in Texas.
Robert Smith
Ned misread saw Fielder’s age as 37, and then forgot to put a horizontal line underneath the 7. which would have made it a 2 year offer for a 37 year old…for 160 million…sounds neddish.
BlueSkyLA
As a comment… sounds desperate.

Teams going bankrupt, like the Dodgers and Mets and then they are going to spend a lot of money? I am from Missouri, the show me state. Believe it when you see it. Believe none of what you hear, and half of what you see.
nope77
blah blah blah, i’m a giants fan so i feel its time for me to chime in, blah.
JacksTigers
I get the first sentence, but I don’t get the rest. Seriously, what the hell are you talking about.
