The Pirates should snag Oliver Perez

Wonder if the D-backs would take Matt Davidson for Addison Reed. On a serious note, Brad Zeigler is the exact type of pitcher (high ground ball rate) that Rick Hahn typically goes after.

Hahn has stated multiple times that his focus is on adding young, controllable pieces, however. It doesn’t make sense for him to shift gears and trade someone young and controllable for a 35-year-old reliever that has two seasons of team control left at what is close to market value for a setup man.
If Hahn wants to add a reliever with a nice ground-ball rate, he can just do so on the free agent market this offseason without surrendering any young talent.

True, though, I don’t think Zeigler would cost much at all. Didn’t know he was already gonna be 35 either but he could always be the bullpen vet. Plus you have to think good bullpen arms are gonna be at a premium this winter. Might actually be a bargain at 5 mil. Young controllable arms are good, but they really won’t have much to trade for said arms.

I would think the Brewers would be eyeing both Zeigler and Qualls.
