Headley is having a slow start and he likely will rebound. If you are going to bench anyone, should start with Didi. At least with Headley there is a history of having production and he gets some walks, Didi not so much.

At this point the Yankees should drop Ellsbury to 7th in the order and let Castro and Gardner handle the top of the order for now. Let Headley sit for 10 days and give Torreyes a shot. But if Torreyes can’t hit and doesn’t field like Brooks Robinson then go ahead and bring up Refsnyder. Sure, Ref is a butcher in the field, but the Yankees need someone – anyone – to get on base.
As for pitching, all of the starters are junk right now except Tanaka the Ticking Time Bomb. Might be time to set Rothschild out to pasture and bring in a new pitching coach.
Most Yankee fans like me probably want to see more of the kids get their chance, but we’re stuck with Beltran, CC, ARod, et al for a little while longer. I doubt the Yankees will try selling off players even if they’re out of it come the trading deadline.

I know a lot of Yankee fans would hate it but it may be time to start a little reload. Not gonna call it a total rebuild. If they wanna send some veterans out send McCann back to Brave country. Would love his leadership for the young staff coming up. I know the Yankees could use some young arms. How bout Whalen and Ellis ? Would it take more than that ? Allows them to bring up Sanchez.
