How many errors does Diaz have?
csamson11
He has committed six errors.
Sky14
With a batting line like .400/.436/.695, he could play defense sitting in a lawn chair reading a newspaper.
Putmeincoach12
That’s great. Lol
thegreatbambi
That’s such a herd comment. Aledmys has been an amazing baseball story and all the commentators who want to bring his play back to earth with the caveat of crap defense are ignorant. -0.1 dWAR is very respectable for today’s SS
ThatGuy 2
I don’t have a dog in this fight… That’s actually pretty shitty dWAR for a shortstop considering the positional adjustment…
thegreatbambi
List of SS with equal or worse dWAR than Diaz:
Aybar, Mercer ,Gregorius, Story, Correa, A. Escobar
I just think it’s strange. Any of those SS’s were having dynamite years at the plate would people be asking how many errors they had? I don’t get the downer angle when responding to this specific break out story. Maybe because he’s a Cardinal..
Putmeincoach12
He is getting better and most of his errors were throwing errors. He will be fine. I hope he plays second when Peralta gets back.
jimmyz
When Peralta comes back, he, Diaz, Carpenter and any warm body at first is a very solid infield, particularly offensively.
stl_cards16 2
Carpenter at 1st, Wong-Gyorko platoon at 2nd, Peralta at 3rd, Diaz at SS is what should happen. Adams gone, Moss off the bench
ronnsnow
I’d say its more likely Peralta plays first over Carpenter.
gilgunderson
This is pretty much the Brandon Belt I was expecting to see at some point in his career. Thankfully it came out right after signing a big contract extension. Just have to avoid those fluke injuries.
