Geez there were too many baseball questions clogging up the chat. I just want to know who hasn’t ever gotten a question answered and if anyone wants Jeff back.
It is called “MLB trade rumors” chat, not steves personal life chat.
It’s a “chat with MLBTR’s Steve Adams,” which is free of charge. As the host, I don’t feel the least bit compromised by deviating briefly from the subject of baseball. And considering the fact that I publish maybe 2-3 of the 100+ non-baseball questions I receive, I’d say there are plenty of others who don’t mind a quick interlude.
However, if you’d prefer to find a strict, baseball-only chat, you’re free to look elsewhere. But you’ll probably have a difficult time finding one, as hosts at Fangraphs, Keith Law at ESPN and most other places I’ve checked in occasionally dip into sidebar topics.
If you’re that troubled that much by two sentences about a vacation that I took, then you’re free not to participate. I assure you, the chats will survive.
I’m 1/1 on questions answered. Maybe it’s because I enjoy the intelligent stuff I read from Steve, Jeff and Jason and the questions they pick, rather than shout ‘me, me, me’ and then shoot off angry notes when I don’t get answers! Ask when it’s something other people might be interested in, guys.
