Motter is hitting .225, how is that considered “hot”?
chesteraarthur
128 wRC+; 821 ops
Steve Adams
It’s a fair point — I was referencing his power for the most part, but it’s admittedly not a great way to describe a guy with a .290 OBP.
mike030
But to be fair look at his start minus the last week and a half.
davbee
Judging a player by their batting average. How cute.
ReverieDays
0.3 WAR so far. That better?
davbee
As a reserve with irregular at bats.
1.356 OPS. Is that better?
JoeyPankake
who’s ops is that? Not Motter’s.
jdgoat
His ops is in the .800 which is still great
sufferforsnakes
It’s a “global warming” thing.
TheChrisMLB
The article never said Motter was on a hot start.. talked about his surprising pop
bastros88
Josh Reddick has been awesome for the Astros so far
chandlere
Agreed! A welcome addition to the club house as well
A'sfaninUK
Yep, and you can bet a million dollars his OPS would be .600 if he signed with Oakland, where FA hitters suddenly forget everything they’ve ever done in their lives, smh
arc89
The problem with Reddick is he plays defense. A’s GM only signs DH or poor defensive players.
