Enough with the same Austin Hays question. 3 straight chats with the same exact question. I’m sure Hays is good, but it’s a boring, meaningless question and a waste of time(unless you’re austin hays).

Was Kris Bryant not “clearly MLB-ready” in 2015? How about Ronald Acuña in 2018? What’s bad about it is Preller gave away a full season of a 20 y/o All Star for basically nothing.
I get where you’re coming from, but I thought it was a refreshing decision by the Padres.
They can always send him to the minors for a month to “work” on something.
Good luck doing that without getting hit with a grievance from the MLBPA. What exactly does he have to work on?
Bottom line, the time to do that was at the beginning of the season before he had proven that he belonged in the majors.
