Why wouldn’t the Dodgers take Stanton? If he waived his NTC then they definitely would.
uhhh because that contract is already showing signs of being an albatross… Yanks won’t find a taker for that one unless they eat a significant amount of salary or if he waives the NTC (as you mentioned)
and because the Dodgers are making a run at Cole…
Stanton has the worst contract in MLB! The Dodgers have Bellinger, Joc, Pollick,Taylor,Verdugo,Kiki and Beatty and Lux that can all play the outfield! Dodgers need to try and trade Joc and Lux for Lindor , possibly sign Rendon and trade Seager for bullpen arms! Time to shake things up! We have a ton of money, a ton of talent and moveable contracts and no competition in the West so go after Cole , Rendon and win it all! 1988 was a long time ago
