Braves fans. Enjoy 2nd place for the next decade. Cohen don’t play.

Very few titles are bought in this day and age. The Braves are going to be just fine developing their own talent and supplementing the roster where needed

Odd comment considering the Braves just won the WS.

If they win another one It would have to be the WC route.

Maybe, but it seems odd to celebrate and taunt now.

Yeah, because nobody wins the WS via the WC route…

      You’re right. Cohen don’t play.

And he’ll still be paying Bonilla.

Many other Bonilla type deals out there. Not really a good joke.

Not at the time Bonilla signed the deal. But since you’re “TheREALMetsFan” you know that already

Bruce Sutter’s deal may have been better.

In theory the Bonilla deal made sense, but that probably should have been a red flag to look at their investment a little closer.

I would have loved for this site to have existed in 1999/2000 or even 2006 to see the Mets fans (fan?) count their chickens before they hatched

I don’t see Depoto spending big on a FA – SS.
Ya, it’s sexy to talk about bogaerts or trea turner, but that’s a lot of cash.
More like trade for a solid glove at 2B, with more power than fraizer.
I could see Tommy edman as that guy. Gold glover

Tommy isn’t going anywhere. You can have DeJong. He can pick it and has more power than Frazier.

If a good prospect is included I could see a club taking on his salary.

Those deals never happen. The team usually just puts the guy on waivers. Teams value prospects too much anymore to give them away because they stupidly paid a guy for 3 more years then they should have.

I could see them doing something similar to wait the Padres did with Hosmer. Attach some 20-30 organization ranked prospect and eat some of the salary for a prospect it the 10-15 range.

The Padr s ate ALL of Hosmer’s salary aside from the league minimum.

The American League clubs heading to the playoffs look far more impressive and talented than anything in the National League this season, particularly Houston, Seattle, and Cleveland.
