For future posters with hypothetical trade scenarios for Alec Bohm to MLBTR staff – they do not like him with a passion. Unless you’re proposing Jo Adell, they ain’t biting on a Bohm.
Adams thinks the Angels may have made the biggest free agency signing of a team that finished poorly last year – guess he doesn’t think the Blue Jays are coming away with any top free agents.
Jerry DiPoto: for the 53rd time and the cheap seats we are not planning on trading any mlb starting pitchers
A certain subset of MLBTR commenters: Pish posh Jerry! You will take my team’s middling, disposable arb eligible bat and a midrange prospect with minimal upside for Luis Castillo and you will like it!
I think that the problem I have with the Dodgers referrals are the figures they consider “present day value.” If Ohtani signs for 700mil, it should count for the full figure for tax purposes, not $46/yr. That makes no sense to me and I do believe skirts the system.

I propose Jo Adell.
Who is they and I think I need a little more context.
Bohm is mediocre and getting more expensive, who wants to trade for that?

Oh my gosh (OMG); Laugh out loud (LOL).
Steve, from time to time you share with us the difficulties in choosing which questions to field. You nailed this one. Wow. Grateful. Thank you.
I was thinking the same thing. I would suggest to Nick he add piranhas in the water pits.

Sad you don’t understand simple economics or understand how collective bargaining agreements work.
Ridiculous.
It’s all, ridiculous.
