The Reds have activated reliever Caleb Ferguson from the 15-day injured list, according to Charlie Goldsmith of Charlie’s Chalkboard. Zach Maxwell is being recalled from Triple-A. Connor Phillips and Jose Franco are being optioned in corresponding moves.

Phillips definitely needs some time in aaa to work on his command, I doubt Maxwell will be much better.
I believe this is already the 4th time Franco has ben optioned this season. If so, he can only be optioned 1 more time this season before exposing him to waivers.
