Giants going to arbitration with Belt?
Hopefully not, but it could be an indicator of him not signing with the Giants long term and leaving when free agency comes.
This clearly shows that Belt is not in the future plans for the Giants. A sign and trade would be best for both parties. Belt would get the opportunity to take his .280 average and 80 rbi bat to another team. Posey would inherit first base. and the Giants might get a couple minor league players in the deal.
The Giants know that moving Posey to first base extends his career at least a couple years. He probably hits 330/20/100. Belt has been tough for the Goants to deal with. He probably wants out of SF as much as the team wants to open first base.
So who would have you added, if anyone, to the diamondbacks bullpen? Would you have done nothing? What would you have done genius?
Let’s me guess, I like Daniel Hudson as so and so rookie cuz their fangraph says 1 +1 = 2 so I wouldn’t spend 6 million dollars of the owners money on someone else who is a veteren. No way..
