Can you see Ian Desmond joining the Angels or Cesar Hernandez a more likely possibility??

Why would the Angels sign Desmond, it’s not anywhere near the top of their needs?

He could play second base. Definitely a need for the Halos.

Heard Jon Heyman report that the Braves are pushing hard for Sale. Let me ask this does Newcombe, Albies, Mallex, Vizzy & Blair get it done?

I think you may have needed to ask it in the chat while it was still going.

@steelerbravenation: Who knows EXACTLY what will get it done, since it is hard to tell how the White Sox view each of those players and exactly what their exact plans are for 2017. If the White Sox are looking for a full fledge sell off then they may accept players who are further away but who have high ceilings. If they White Sox are looking to use Sale to retool the team and be competitive in 2017 then they will probably demand major league ready talent like Swanson and/or Inciarte. If the White Sox are looking to get rid of salary for more flexibility they may pair Shields with Sale and not take quite so much in return.

To be honest there will probably be a dog fight of competition for Sale’s services and I’m afraid that it will cost so much talent to acquire Sale that the acquiring team’s fan base will groan in pain.

By the way I take everything Heyman, and most other writers post with a grain of salt. I’m NOT calling him a bad writer by any means, only saying that they report rumors and such and some people include rumors they’ve heard 3rd or 4th hand or more. Not saying Heyman does that, but until things get very specific and coming from several sources all at once reporting basically the same thing, I wouldn’t worry too much about the rumors. Most times it amounts to no more than a team doing it’s due diligence.
