VERY enjoyable and informative read! Thanks for this one.

Love these. Would love to see one on the 2006 Pirates in which they took Brad Lincoln over guys like Kershaw, Lincecum, Scherzer, etc.

Or Sanchez over Trout. Or Taillon (who I LOVE, but…) over Machado.
Stuff happens.
The Pirates pick that is and will always be repugnantly indefensible was picking a middling reliever (Danny Moskos) over Matt Wieters.

Great read.
Considering their opinion of Ellsbury, it surprises me that he fell that far.

Hi

I will read any article with behind the scenes draft or trade background, but Chuck Wasserstrom is a particularly good writer.

Ellsbury stinks. To be fair he had the talent to be a star. It was a nice pick at the time. Nobody could have predicted he’d be a fragile player who would only have a few good seasons. At least he’s NYY problem.

Love reading these since the decision to draft certain players can change franchises for better or worse.
