Braves should try to swing a trade for a Phillies catcher.

just send us Kolby Allard and Rupp can be all yours. 🙂
bastros88
more like a player to be named later or cash considerations for rupp
jorleeduf
Rupp is becoming one of the best catchers in the game.

Bring Alfaro up, Rupp has been really hard to watch this year.
raef715
they just explained why they arent going to do that right now. Getting Knapp some more AB’s in the interim though would be a good idea.

Very true, I know that makes the most sense. It just pains me to see him tearing it up down in AAA and seeing Rupp hitting well below the Mendoza line.

I don’t really understand the explanation. He’s out of options NEXT year, so he can’t come up this year? Either he’s ready or not ready. Even if he had an option remaining for next year, he should still come up now if he’s ready and later if he’s not. Calling him up now has no effect on his option situation.

Agreed. This is the year to try it. If he DOES need sent back down they still have that luxury this year. I agree he’s not quite MLB ready yet, but this reasoning makes zero sense.
