It’s only June 22. He signed his contract June 15th, so it’s quite normal for him not to be playing yet. He’ll be in the Mets’ Gulf Coast (Rookie) League which just started league games a couple days ago.
Nothing to worry about.
Gomber should be the pitcher to take starting pitcher, Michael Wacha’s spit in the Cardinals starting rotation. Just because he has proved to be a valuable asset to the team bullpen doesn’t mean he should stay there. He was a starter in the minors. He’s Left-handed throws strikes with authority and the Cardinals desperately need a lefthander starter in their rotation. Seems like a no brainer, but that is exactly what the Cardinals have as President of baseball operations. John Mozeliak…a no-brainer …. has not done anything to help the Cardinals roster for years, during the season. Always waits too late to make a move toward helping the club. Always too late to pick up the top tiered players and always picks up a retread that waste the owners money, just to say he pick up another player!!! He is the problem with the Cardinals!!! Not the manager.
