Jeff, I sincerely hope you meant that Trout is quite a bit more valuable than EITHER Manny OR Bryce.
Wow did “Mr Hahn” at the end of that chat completely fall flat on his face. The Padres pantsed the White Sox on that trade.
Bad trade no doubt… but Tatis was 16 and hadn’t played in US… wasn’t no-brainer elite level yet.
I think Eloy and Cease for Q ends up being most lopsided… they knew eloy was a super prospect to get him AND Cease looking like a serious haul.
Getting more than bodies with Eloy but their #1 arm for a team with no farm arms?
Steep.
That’s the Cubs for you. They give away young talent all the time, and some of them have become HOFers.
That’s a White Sox fan for you. Can’t say anything knowledgable about his chosen team, but is woefully obsessed with dissing the Cubs at every chance. A sad state of mind….
chisox really….. arguably Cubs used their talent and compiled quality young players to be relevant year and year recently.
