The Padres are likely to be without left fielder Ramón Laureano for the remainder of the season. He underwent labrum surgery on his right hip on Friday, relays Annie Heilbrunn of the San Diego Union-Tribune. The team hasn’t officially ruled him out for the year but noted that this injury typically requires a 4-5 month recovery.
More to come.

Oh no!
That sucks. Still wishing the Braves had kept him. Would’ve avoided the LF drama they’ve been dealing with.
They’re doing just fine without him.
They would have avoided the Profar debacle.
Both have a PED history
Well, shucks.
Hope AJ doesn’t get desperate and brings back Castellanos..
Cutch?
They knew he was injured when they cut Castellanos
Pain
He had a great bounce back last yr, but underwhelming start to 2026 and now surgery…
He actually started 26 well. He must have developed this injury and then the decline over past few weeks. Can’t really blame poor performance when needing surgery.
He actually started 2026 pretty good then fell off the last month or so. It could be that he’s been dealing with the hip issue for a while.
Sucks extra going into Free Agency
Bad platform season ending in hip surgery most likely means he’ll have to sign a 1yr prove it deal. Shame..because he looked great last year.
AJ trades for a new LF in 5..4..3..
There are substances you can take to help you heal faster
Noooooo. Not Razor Ramon. :(
Trade Adams
Trade Morejon
Trade any impeding free agents
Fire the hitting coach
No Darvish no Pivetta no Musgrove
Tatis Jr Machado Laureano Merrill not hitting
Time to do a reset for next year and get back to what made them successful hitting cause this clearly isn’t it.
Preller should go all in for Skubal. That will fix them!!! LOL!!! S/
Jase Bowen is overmatched. Manny has lost a step. Tatis tinkers too much. Stammen and Souza have zero credibility with that group.
Stammen played with these guys, I don’t think it’s a credibility issue with him. Souza is a different story, whatever he’s doing isn’t working. Bad approaches all over the place, he has to go
I’m very critical of Elias, but that trade with SD for prospects back for Ramon and Ohearn looks better and better everyday. And it was really good for the Os to start with.
