I’m a professional photographer so I spend a lot of time in Photoshop. 2-3 hours for this kind of work is conservative, you lose track of time quickly when you’re doing things like this.

I don’t have the patience for it myself.

Yeah, I’m also a professional designer who uses Photoshop extensively. I’d like to think 3 hours is conservative. But hell, maybe this guy is just in a different league

Huh, pretty cool showing how the sausage is made. I figured there was software that did this type of thing automatically. Very interesting seeing the labor of detail that it actually takes.

Thanks Guantsphan. By the way, I push Louise, Dewey and Munson for the HOF. My age is I guess showing. I’m adding Kent to that list. So many others I loved like Reggie Smith but they have no shot unless the Veterans
Committee rigs the election again like with Harold Baines. No disrespect meant to him but how do your former manager and owner you played for nor recuse themselves from the vote? They should have argued his case but no one who can’t be impartial should ever decide who gets in and who doesn’t. There’s a difference between seeing them play so often and having them play for you.

Can he photoshop the 2017 Dodgers as WS Champs?

Why the Dodgers? They were just the last team to play them. The Yankees got burned but so did the 17 Red Sox who if you recall got smoked 8-2 in the first two games in Houston. Sox then crushed them in game three but lost a close clinching game four in Fenway. Not a game five but the Sox could definitely have taken games in Houston if there were no shenanigans. Can’t declare any team a winner and I’m now for vacating the title. My anger is at the bonus pool money and rings each cheater got. Same thing in 18 for my team if it turns out their cheating was verified. Would the Astros have been the number one seed? Would even their pitchers been as effective if say their leads in the first two Boston games was a single run? Who knows? Hard to compare to PEDS which was an individual thing. This was a team of cheaters.

Exactly….the Asterisks very well could have been knocked out in either round or not even made it(who knows)….WS should be pulled from them(inc playoff $$$ and return the rings) and left blank in the record books…if you make a harsh enough penalty you will deter in the future…players not getting penalized but Mgr and GM only isnt a deterrent….

I think it is obviously because Dodgers-Astros were predicted by many and it came to fruition.

Maybe the Dodgers don’t beat the Yankees or the Sox in 2017, but they were a juggernaut and did it in a division with the two wildcard teams.

I’m really not wanting to look back at the box scores for any of the playoffs, and certainly not the World Series. But what I do remember is the Dodgers playing maybe the best I’ve ever seen in Game 5, jumping out to a lead with Kershaw twice, then coming back over and over again to a team that we now know was cheating to barely beat them. Game 5 tells me all I need to know about the series, along with Game 4’s gem by Alex Wood, who was somehow no-hitting the Astros with guile and a suspicion.

Dodgers should have won in 6. I remain unconvinced that the Asterisks didn’t find a way to cheat on the road, they can claim they didn’t but what credibility even exists? But again, no matter, Dodgers win Game 5 in my mind, and close it out in 6.

All that said, I wish the playoffs could have been fair. I want the Dodgers to win one and celebrate what they’ve had stolen from them, and if you believe another AL team could have won, that opinion is well beyond valid. The Asterisks robbed all fans of fair competition, and left us all with what-ifs.

And I absolutely believe all rings, banners, and the trophy should be stripped, and 2017 has NO CHAMPION (due to the Houston Astros cheating) in the record books.

I agree more with the ‘no champion’ than giving it to their opponent in the WS. It’s exactly like you say, a whole trickle down/butterfly effect.

The Astros had a season long record with cheating. They could have not have even made the post season. It effected more than just the Dodgers winning regardless of them ‘being a juggernaut.’

I have zero what ifs and one big ‘don’t care.’ It’s a sport…. more important things in life to get worked up about… sign stealing, peds, corked bats, gambling, throwing games, foreign objects on the baseball… cheating will always happen. Stop whining about it like it’s some kinda surprise and your team has never done it. News flash… all teams cheat in all sports.

Agreed. In this day and age of saberstats and computers, I’m waiting for someone to try to adjust everyone’s stats and let a computer re-run the entire 17 season. Of course I’m being facetious but in my view sabermetrics and fantasy playing have taken a lot of the beauty out of the game for others.

I’m curious how substantial the trade rumors have to be for him to get started on something like this. Easier for a trade like this that drew on for so long, I imagine, but for surprise mid-season trades, I could see it being difficult to keep up with all the moves.

He says it took 2-3 hours but realistically that’s pretty conservative. I’d say he probably gets started on things like this when reports say a deal is going to get done, that way he can have it ready the same day in case it gets done quickly.

As a professional photographer who spends a lot of time in Photoshop, I’m impressed. Could have swapped out that background for a Dodger Stadium background, but the amount of work involved in swapping jerseys alone is so intense that I personally don’t have the patience for it.
