i really dont see how the bidding war over guys like Betts will markedly drop his earnings. he’s still a top-tier guy, and if his price drops that just gets other teams into the mix that could drive the prices back up again.

So far every 300 million+ free agent has only had three real suitors at most. There just aren’t many teams in on players like these and if you were to list teams with a realistic shot at signing Betts you wont need more than 1 hand.

Owners are already crying poor when talking about paying players guaranteed contracts for this year Claiming they have no Revenue

I can about guarantee owners will try+ likely succeed in suppressing FA prices next year

And when don’t they try to suppress prices?

Not defending them by any means but it’s pretty clear they don’t have any revenue at the moment?

Hopefully by November we’ll have had some sort of season, some sort of play offs and hot stove will begin. I wouldn’t be surprised to see more pillow contracts but as ever, and IF we’re back to relative normality, the cream of the crop will be well and truly rewarded….

        In other words, no change!

I wish more guys would use their username in the live chats. I use mine, and I was featured twice.

No comments yet!!?? Oh, forgot. Everybody is watching the MJ documentary. Hope they bring the fact he is one of the world’s worst tippers along with Tiger Woods…..

Who cares about tipping. You tip by the service you receive not how much you make.

So MJ and Tiger Woods “always” get bad service?

Depends which state they’re in I guess. Plus in Tiger’s case, it could be open to misinterpretation….

I’m surprised athletes who played baseball and another professional sport such as Bo Jackson, Deion Sanders, Russel Wilson, Jackie Robinson (played 1 season for the Kansas City Monarchs of the NBL back in the day) didn’t come up.

A no hitter cannot be less than 9 innings? So a home team cant win 1 to 0 and be no hit?

Sure they can. Walk the bases loaded in the bottom of the ninth, and it happens from there.

Never mind. You are saying it must be 27 outs.
