If COVID doesn’t impact the season too much, Lindor will likely test the waters; however, if fan attendance and revenues are still down, I could see him going the Mookie route and staying on with the Mets. The Mets were my #1 guess to land Lindor next season in FA, so I think they will work hard to find a way to prevent him getting onto the market.
Interestingly, the website BaseballTradeValues actually puts that Polanco + Larnach for Bryant + Baez + Hendricks as the Cubs winning that trade.
Obviously that site is pure numbers, and doesn’t account for things like moving 3 major pieces at once. I’m sure the Cubs would want more in the way of prospects.
