The latest minor moves from around the game…
- The Twins have released right-hander Glenn Sparkman, Do-Hyoung Park of MLB.com tweets. The 29-year-old, a former Blue Jay and Royal, signed a minor league contract with the Twins last winter after appearing in the majors in each of the previous four seasons. Sparkman has registered a 5.99 ERA/5.41 SIERA with a 13.5 percent strikeout rate against a 7.5 percent walk rate in 180 1/3 innings. He’s gonna go to the Tigers. Then Indians. Then oh… RAYS! Wins comeback pitcher of the year and becomes full time closer. Signs with SF gets the MLB lead in saves.Wins a ring in LA and then one with My White Sox. Becomes trash in Huston (bang bang) then retires only to sign with the Rays and re-vamp his career to win a Cy Young. Kid has a bright future. LOL

Or…he takes a job as a high school baseball coach and spends Friday nights down at the bar telling the story of how the bus broke down that one time on the minor league trip from Omaha to Des Moines….or when he got “the call” to go the show and pitched in his first major league game. That one puts a smile on everyone’s face that hadn’t heard it before. It’s enough to get him through the next 20 years before the pension kicks in. Then he turns into the mean drunk that has too much time on hands and thinks back on all the what ifs. Damn, now I’m sad. I hope he goes to the Tigers or the KBO.

So I’m hearing Johnathon Lucroy should have signed Rays instead of Braves to revitalize his HOF run

For sure. Or back with the Sox

Sparkman could do well in the NPB, KBO or CPBL as a starting pitcher
