Is there ANYTHING that MLB can do about Angel Hernandez to get him out of this league? It’s almost like he enjoys being the “bad guy” or the hood of the game. He is worse than some of the 12 year old kids I employ to umpire our 6-9 age groups! Just atrocious!

SOMEBODY had to fill Joe West’s shoes.
There always has to be a villain, right?
The league protects him because they use umps to control the outcome of certain games.
Anyone who claims unions can protect umps don’t understand how much money is at stake
I don’t know if they rig games per se, but I agree that if MLB wants an ump gone for performance reasons, it wouldn’t be that hard. Just buy out whatever is remaining on his contract.

The prior chat had some good questions, such as whether a pitcher gets credit for a perfect game if the only baserunner over 10 innings is the Ghost Runner.

Not to worry – just a part of NYC culture. People do it routinely. Lawmakers do it. Government officials do it. Judges do it. A high-profile guy gets chocked to death in a high security jail – no one knows nothing saw nothing heard nothing. Lighten up.

Right.. Same reason you haven’t yet reported that Bauer is suing his accuser right?
Because that has nothing to do with anything in regards to MLB trade rumors
They polled readers about a year ago and among other things, asked if they should open comments on domestic violence related posts and 67% of fans said no.
I think we need 300 more questions about Michael Conforto it’s such a gripping and consequential turn of events.

Disagree on the Buxton/Trout comp. There’s not a GM around that gives up Trout for Buxton straight up.
I’m a MN fan and I agree. They may look similar on paper, but I would take Trout any day.
