Thoughtful Fried thread. Not a Braves fan, but respect and am impressed with their model. In particular, when everyone else waggles, theyre not afraid to wiggle. Fried will be 30 this off season, regardless of injury recovery and performance results, they move him?

The Cubs sent Wesneski to AAA to get stretched out, that move speaks volumes as to which direction Hoyer sees this team heading.

I personally think Stroman is gone and the Cubs will listen to offers on Hendricks who’s been great this season. I’m not so sure the Cubs will deal Bellinger because I actually think Hawkins wants him back.

I actually wouldn’t be all that surprised if the Cubs listened to offers on Suzuki. He’s been good but not great. I think the Cubs may be able to land Bellinger at a similar 17 million dollar range (17-20 million aav) with PCA possibly pushing him to RF at some point next season. The Cubs justifying the move by putting Morel in RF for the remained of 2024.

For all Cardinal fans, Tyler O’Neil has limited to no trade value. His injury history and lack of consistent success does not make him desirable in any way.

Disagree. O’Neill is a strong defensive CF with a career 112 OPS+ who is controlled through 2024. There is absolutely value there.

His career 112 ops+ is due to one good season that was swayed by one terrific month. His defense isn’t anything special. So you have an okay defender in cf that had power two years ago.

Tyler O’Neill isn’t going to get you a front line starter alone. But to say he has no value shows you’re a Homer. His health is a huge liability. But his defense ALONE makes him valuable, let alone if he can get back to half of what he was 2 years ago. He’s also one of the fastest players in the league. Tyler O’Neill has value. it’s not what some fans think, but he’s not scrap as you’re suggesting either. I wonder which team do you scout for?

Which ALONE makes him so valuable, his negative defensive WAR, OAA, DRS OR RAA? Maybe you meant his negative value on the base paths with all that speed.
