Maybe the Marlins would rather have Willson Contreras than Ivan Herrera. The money could be worked out. We could take Avisail Garcia as part of the return. Tyler O’Neill also could be added as he could provide some CF depth.
I just don’t see the Cards moving on from Herrera right now. They’ve got about 3-6 infielders and outfielders that are more likely to be moved first.
