A trashcan joke, a ringworm joke, and a deferral joke all walk into a bar

There seem to be a lot of people triggered by these posts. I didn’t know baseball fans were so thin-skinned and easily triggered. But then I remember they’re fans of players that get easily triggered when they strikeout / called out. The poster boy would be Bryce Harper.

I suspect the Giants are done spending money. Farhan has convinced the greedy owners and save his hide that by playing unproven prospects that the Giants will be a Wild Card contender and make them lots of money. Rolling with the big guys out there like Bellinger, Chapman or Snell will require some roster moves that seem unlikely.

My feelings for the Toronto Blue Jays ,if Atkins and his boss do not improve the ball club this year , Bichette and Guerrero will walk when there contracts expire , they have had enough crap dealing with these guys.

@Theodore
Bichette will be gone. He’s not staying around for this dumpster fire. He’s the better ball player of the two of them.
Theodore
Right now I totally agree and if Bichette goes so will Guerrero and others will follow , Atkins and his boss care more about the revisions of stadium than putting a baseball team together, they even tried to push that on Ohtani to sign him with all the facilities they are building for their players ,not the fact that they will build a contender to win the Worldseries which Ohtani always wanted , as the Dodgers are proving.

Why Can’t Ron Manfred protect teams after by the Diamond Ballys bankruptcy… total inequality within the game on revenue?

The above question will not get answered by the podcast because they are gutless to answer the question

Or because it may only be a comment here.
If it were an email to submit questions and it were phrased more prudently like,
“Will there be enough team owners to pressure Manfred to address growing revenue disparity? Or is that even something Manfred can do at this point and will likely be addressed in the next CBA negotiation?”

If Snell doesn’t sign with the Giants b/c they’re tapped out, and the NYY offer is deemed “uncompetitive” at $150M…what is his market at that point? Jays? Orioles? Cards? And if so, which of them is going to top $150M? Or, does he fall back to the Yanks with opt outs et. Al.?
Longtimecoming
Viv – I think there are teams that are also playing the waiting game just Boras has been.
I’ve said Snell at 7/210 from day 1. After what Yam got – meaning it was a lot more than anyone projected and considering he has never pitched in MLB, I just can’t see Snell getting less than 7/210.
He may wait until end of ST even but, wait for an injury or wait for someone to miss out on Montgomery or whoever they are waiting for and then it happens.
Bottom end pitchers are getting 15-17 mil / year. Never pitched in MLB guys getting overpaid.
Why not take a chance on a 2 x CY that was one of the top pitchers in baseball last year and one of the most dominating stretches from early June thru end of season ever recorded in history.
