Longtimecoming
Ohhhh you said ads!

Ads are like AIDS, enough mice will remove them!
Big Hurt
Mark is by far my favorite “chat” guy. He consistently spends 2 hours while others top out at 1, and posts answers to things like that bizarre hotdog guy today. Lol -awesome.

I was just coming to say this was a great chat compared to normal

I think Posey will get into the HoF but doubt he’s a first ballot. Very similar career to Mauers but not quite as good. 44 career WAR vs Mauers 55, with the average HOF catcher having 53 career WAR. Posey had a bit more pop but behind in most other categories. Mauer barely got in on the first ballot so I suspect there will be more voters who don’t see Posey as a HoFer or at least first ballot. A case could be made that if Posey is a HOFer than why isn’t Thurman Munson?
Longtimecoming
Sky – I admittedly don’t have a vote but I wonder if Posey just needed another 2 years of doing what he was doing to make it. Sometimes the guys with 16-18 years just accumulate enough of the stats that count.
You said it with Mauer at 55 and BP at 44. TM might fall in the exact same category of needed a few more years of doing what he did.
Just my thought and not saying he won’t eventually get in but there are lots those “almost guys” or even the “if he would have played another 2-3 years” guys.
He has enough to justify his career and I have no doubt he thought this thru / talked to guys before he walked (limped) away.
He doesn’t need HOF to feel good.

Mauer getting in on the first ballot actually makes me even more confident Posey will also get elected in his first year. Comparable numbers, plus Posey has the added bonuses of the three rings and his great final season.

We’re gunna have to let you go, OIC. Ya only whine and never talk ball. Aloha!

12:55 to 12:58: heck, if Orioles’ Santander is in the midst of another productive season, EXTEND him. For that matter, Mullins too. All said; Rutschman is priority. These 3 are affordable to extend and core pieces to team foundation.
Henderson? Forget it. Too expensive. Big market team bound. Use him until maximum trade value is obvious.
Bill the Cat
I normally don’t like the bees/beads thing but I’m ok with it cuz it’s only like 2-3 seconds of time. But today’s Bead Movie post made me laugh, finally. Well done commentor and Mr. Polishuk!
