The Braves released veteran right-hander Livan Hernandez, according to the team's website. Hernandez, who was designated for assignment last week, has said he intends to continue playing.
The Braves removed the 37-year-old from their roster on Friday after calling other teams about possible trade scenarios. Hernandez signed a Major League deal with the Braves in March, not long after the Astros released him. The Praver/Shapiro client posted a 4.94 ERA with 5.5 K/9 and 2.3 BB/9 in 31 innings out of the bullpen for Atlanta.

i check this website out at least 10 times a day hoping and praying there is a post saying that we fired Fredi Gonzalez.
Probably never should have signed him. He just didn’t have anything left in the tank.

I won’t say it’s the wrong Gonzalez to release, but we still have one too many.
I think this would be a cheap solid pickup for the White Sox, while Hernandez isn’t a world beater he could very well fill the small shoes of Zach Stewart at a likely much more effective level.
Livans stats game by game stats didnt look to bad this year. There were one or two games that attribute to his jacked up ERA. Would be a decent and cheap pickup that could benefit an NL Bullpen
