- The Braves have signed infielder Pedro Ciriaco to a minor league contract, tweets Chris Cotillo of MLBDailyDish.com. Ciriaco, who declared his free agency two weeks ago, slashed .213/.229/.255 in 49 plate appearances for the Royals before being designated for assignment in June. The 29-year-old fared much better at Triple-A Omaha batting .302/.322/.444 in 215 trips to the plate.

That’s up to the front office, but most teams will award a ring to anyone who was on the team’s major-league roster during the season. Last year, the Red Sox gave a ring to Brayan Villarreal even though he pitched in only one game for them and walked the only man he faced.
Why?
There is no reason to carry him unless you play vs the Yankees on a regular basis.
Back in the day, the Royals were the land of misfit Braves… Looks like things are reversing now lol. Okay, it’s only one signing… But still, kinda ironic haha.
Had a great 2012 here in Boston we should’ve given him a shot to figure it out.
He’s had 5 years and four different teams with which to figure it out. He’s not a very good baseball player.
