Mookie must have learned from the Garret Cole debacle that even if you’re unsatisfied with what you’re making and you believe you’ve played well above your salary, keep your thoughts to yourself.for now. If Mookie keeps up his level of play, the Red Sox will pay him very well.

Odds that the Sox buy out some early FA years a la Pedroia?

Money is not a problem for the Red Sox, but keeping their fan base happy after two crappy seasons is. I would be absolutely stunned if the Red Sox didn’t lock up Mookie for the prime of his career, no matter the cost.

The Sox just don’t really have a history of stiffing it’s players on salary is what matters as compared to league averages and that goes back to the Yawkey ownership.
Some teams are like that and have been.. Boston and NY, since Gerorgie and his kids bought them from CBS corporation.. LAD for the most part last 50 years since moving west.. It’s just how it is.

Paredes is lucky he has a reason to go on the DL for a couple months, and so are the Orioles .Does anyone seriously think Nolan Reimhold is still going to have that job in 2 months time ?

The Jays have enough bull pen options. But once he comes back they’ll still have to be carefull.
