is there an app for hockey rumors. little hard to use now a days without
wants to be a GM
Yes. It’s the same as the MLBTR app. You can adjust your preferences so that you see hockey rumors too.
jacqron
cool…i will try that
Steve Adams
Correct. The newer “Trade Rumors” app has support for MLBTR, Hoops Rumors, Pro Football Rumors and Pro Hockey Rumors.
I say that only because a very very small percentage of our readers are still on our old “Baseball Trade Rumors” app that hasn’t been supported for about 3 years now.
As long as you’re on the newer app, you can set it to add NBA, NFL or NHL rumors.
Articula
I cant seem to find NHL rumors to add it. For those tech disadvantaged how would you go about adding it?
halos101
go to settings, search nhl and hit the add button

I really hope the Hockey section keeps growing and developing. I’d like it to become the first place to check for info and rumors, much like MLBTR, but it isn’t there yet. It’s still relatively new so it gets a pass for now.
Tim Dierkes
Where do you find it lacking?
Doc Halladay
The writers of the articles could be a little more interactive with the comments section like they are on MLBTR. Maybe it’s just me but I do enjoy when Steve or Jeff or whomever interacts with us and gives their own opinions on a given subject.

Agreed
Tim Dierkes
Sounds like you might be referring to the chats Jeff, Steve, and Jason do each week? We can start that up at PHR.
bluejays4life
Not just the chat sessions that are scheduled, but the actual comments section like this. Often see Steve and Jeff comment on other comments.
For myself it’s not just the articles that are well written on MLBTR but the comments section adds so much value to it. Very few comments on the hockey section so far.
Tim Dierkes
That’s true. Unfortunately, it has taken years to get Hoops Rumors and Pro Football Rumors to the point where most posts naturally get comments. So I think all we can do there is try to keep growing the site and eventually more people will comment.
bluejays4life
For sure it will take time and just keep promoting it. I read it š It helps that it’s right there on the app too. Easy to just slide over and see if there is anything interesting.
Another thought I had on it, since the salary cap has come into play there are much fewer trades happening. It seems every year there are less and less significant ones happening, with the majority occurring in the off season. Trade dead line day in the NHL is not what it once was. Very few teams have cap space to make trades mid season. Not nearly as much action throughout the year like there is in baseball or even other sports.

Although this has changed in the past few weeks, there aren’t as many posts for hockey on a given day as compared to baseball (even in the offseason), football, and basketball. I think the addition of a weekly chat would also help. Finally, I haven’t seen a high volume of “insider” reporting/sources as of yet–I think that will develop over time and hope it does. As of now if I wanted the latest NHL info, I’d check TSN first. But I like what the guys have done so far
staypuft
They’re doing some fantastic work with the write-ups on the trade candidates. And those guys know their hockey for sure. Keep up the good work
