McCutcheon Pt2. Buyer beware.

Cain has never had the upside Cutch still has. Useful player, nothing more.
Blue_Painted_Dreams_LA
That comment makes no sense with all due respect. They are absolutely completely different types of players and have been their whole careers.

Cain was 3rd in MVP race in 2015… More than a useful player
troll
cardinals made big mistake signing fowler last year.
gocincy
Was that a bigger mistake than the Yadira Molina contract?
Ace of Spades
Imo there’s no way Cain gets 4 years. I could see him getting 3 for 36 but what do I know? He hasn’t been that good at all this year
SuperSinker
How has he not been good this year? League average hitter, excellent base runner, good defender. He’s doing basically everything he’s done before in his career.

Too early in the season yet to say what he’ll get as a free agent.

Solid contribution to the conversation, Terry.

Maybe the Cardinals can sign him and get rid of Grichuk and have Cain play LF.
Vedder80
Why? A speed player on the wrong side of 30 for big money or a young player that has shown flashes of true power for no money? Which sounds more valuable?
casey
The giants would be a great fit if they can get him for three years. They love aging outfielders and have plenty of money coming off the books. Maybe he can wear number 18 to save a bunch of fans on jersey purchases.
