Because everyone on Earth knows the Rizzo slide was illegal, including MLB who took the rare step of admitting that they got the call wrong, yet Maddon would rather would rather tell the world not to trust their lying eyes than admit he was wrong.

It’s been long clear that he thinks he’s very smart but it’s only recently becoming clear just how dumb he thinks everyone else to be. It was a textbook violation of the rule and everyone knows it but he’ll still insist that it was “perfect” no matter what.
How is this relevant? Go cry somewhere else. Maybe you should worry more about your owner trying to field a winning team and less about a slide that didn’t even determine the outcome of a loss.
