Pujols doesn’t belong in that group his defense is above average way better than his bat. That said, he needs to be released.

Would the Braves trade Bryse Wilson for Franmil?

Could a package of Tarnock or Ynoa along with Demeritte or Isranel Wilson get either Archie Bradley or Jose Leclerc? Maybe 2 for Bradley and 2 for Leclerc?

Those 3 trades do not strip the Braves system barren and give them an OF and 2 late inning bullpen guys to go with Viz, Sabotka, and Minter.

Leclerc is young and controllable for 4 years I think, and came off a very dominant season. Look at what Diaz got for the Mariners. Two top 100 prospects from the Mets despite taking on $60 million in Salary. Leclerc is going to be really expensive.

Leclerc is not on the same level as Diaz though. Yes he has 4 years of team control. Maybe I am little low on what is being offered, but it isn’t anywhere near what it cost for Diaz. Plus Diaz has been a very good to great closer for 2 years now, while Leclerc has only been good for half a season.

Diaz has been insanely good, better than Rivera ever was. Dint compare leclerc ou r anyone to him.

Braves are getting desperate just like the Phillies because Brodie has got the whole league on its heels.

I hope the Braves trade away everything for relief help, theyll need it to get the Wild Card!

That’s a ludicrous statement even from a homer stance.

I don’t think the Braves are desperate, nor do they have any reason to be. Especially out of NY

How is it ludicrous? Look at the stats pal.

          Diaz>Rivera.

All this jealousy towards the Mets is getting ridonkulous!

Not our fault we got the best GM in sports.

I have looked at the stats “pal” and watched the games. Diaz has had One…count’em one excellent season. Rivera had multiple. Mo had 13 seasons of and ERA + over 200 and that includes 2 over 300. his lifetime WHIP is a flat 1.000.
Diaz has had one excellent year. Trying to compare him to Mo is true homerism as is claiming a guy with a few months in the GM chair is the best in sports.
Try living in reality a while, it will do you some good.
Have a nice evening, I’m done.

When Diaz can sustain it for several years we can talk comparing him to Mo…he could still turn out to be Eric Gagne haha…

Relief pitchers are way too volatile to say 1 or 2 years and someone is better then Mo. The only one that could be compared to Mo is MAYBE Kimbrel and that is because he has been dominant for 8 years now.

Lol, a BRAVES fan saying Diaz isnt all that but then brings up Kimbrell. Gee I wonder why kimbrell came to mind?

The guys been awful in the postseason, when it counts most.

He is so overrated that the red Sox don’t even want him back, think about that!

I know your scared cause the Mets look unstoppable but you could of hired Brodie too.

Mets have the better rotation, by far.

          Better pen, by far.

Better at C,2nd, SS, 3rd, and Rf

Mets will sign a CF and probably be better there and oh yeah, have the best 1st base prospect in the game!

          Stop being so blind

Danny B I am sorry but Kimbrel is the only closer right now that you can compare to Mo…you want to talk about post season that is fine, let’s do that…you are trying to compare a guy that has zero post season pitches to Mo…talk about being blind Haha

As for better at what position…Donaldson is a lot better then Frazier at 3rd…I would call ss a wash at best, but Swanson is probably a little better then Rosario. I will give you c, 2b, and RF.

I am not at all scared. The Mets have made some very nice moves. We will see how the season plays out. Everyone thought the Nationals would win the division this season, but they didnt…everyone thought the Mets were for real after their great start…they weren’t! The Braves were sitting at the top!

Difference is, kimbrell has been a miserable failure under pressure. Hell, he was a millimeter from blowing it to the Spankees, who own his sorry ass. Boston wants nothing to do with him, but you compare him to a HOFr?

Big difference between proving you’re a failure and not having the chance, yet like diaz.

And the Mets 3rd baseman is not Fraziee, nice try, its mcneil who hit 329.

          Donaldson is finished.

Oh and SS a wash? Wishful thinking on your part. Rosario is about to bust out big time. Guess you didn’t see his last 2 months.

Swanson is not improving, hes had plenty of time.

Brodie got you all kinds of shook!

Boston would resign him if he didn’t want 9 figures. Stop being a Mets homer. No one is worried about the Mets in the NL.

Danny B I guess we will talk the end of September and see who is winning the division! I personally am excited the Mets decided to go for…not shook by any means lol

It is going to be fun with Atl, NY, Wash, and Philly all trying to win…it has been awhile since 4 teams have all been legit in the division.

As much as I like Lerclerc and thought there was a connection, there’s no reason TEX gives up 4 seasons of his already top-tier closing for anything less than an overpay. And in an offseason where someone better (Diaz) was the headliner in a salary dump, it’s hard to argue that his ask for a package with 1-2 top-100 prospects (plus) isn’t realistic. ATL doesn’t like it – they can sign Cody Allen and pray for rain.

Look at Diaz stats. He has had just ONE really dominant season. He had a couple decent ones before. Plus he was tied to Cano which the Mets took up a lot of the salary. So while I agree that Diaz is better, how much is the $60 million worth that the Mets soaked up and STILL sent two top prospects? By this measure I would think two top pospects doesn’t seem so insane.

Adams – By what logic do you assume that Kinsler can play “all over the diamond?” Except for two innings, his entire career has been at second base.

Probably because he is a solid fielder and has a strong enough arm. If he can play second, you know he has the footwork to play anywhere else on the infield. Just a guess though.

I would argue that SS would be the position you could say that for. 2B not so much. I’d imagine he’d be serviceable at the other slots because he is an elite 2B but there’d Be no way of knowing that.

Well, he is an infielder. And a good one. We’ll see what Preller does with him, but he would be a vast upgrade over Myers – without a doubt.
