thing is, he sorta has the 10 years.
way back in the early days of the hall of fame, there was debate about addie joss.
he played 9 seasons, got sick in spring training in what would have been his 10th season, ended up dying.
hall of fame ruled because he was gonna make the team, it counted as his tenth season.
hamilton was actually on the rangers roster for most of 2016, even though he never played a game, so that would probably count (though yeah, it’s laughable to suggest he’s a hall of famer, i just wanted to put the story about out there for people who didn’t know it).
