Clearly the Mets are the only NL team to play in the World Series for the next 10 years. So how could another NL team win?

It is the static cling boy. Didn’t you always trip coming off the short bus. All those head injuries are beginning to show at your ripe old age of 15. To bad you won’t be able to enjoy the next time the Mets win a WS. Your nurse will be busy cleaning up your drool.

So basically the Mets go to 10 straight world series. Win 4 of 10. 4 of tbe remaining 6 the AL team sweeps Mets.

Blame Ron Washington. That’ll always be the curse. Cubs had the Billygoat. Red 3had the curse of the Bambino. Rangers now are curse with the Ron Washington curse. A lot of bad managing decisions in that series. Mostly in game 6

Who would expect freese to go deep the other way, have Cruz closer to home so he can cut down a runner. It kinda made sense

Freese was hitting a measly .450 same with Lance Berkman. The pitcher was scared s***less facing Freese in the 11th. Pitching to Freese and Berkman over Pujols was the mistake. Not necessarily Nelson Cruz

Steve I don’t understand how questions are selected either, perhaps it requires premium membership.

In the past I asked some thoughtful unique questions and didn’t get answered.

Tonight there’s TWO questions answered about World Series home field advantage, even though it’s information that’s easily available in all the places that have the postseason schedule.

Not too long ago someone asked a total nonsensical question about Soto being traded this winter to Seattle which of course there’s a zero chance of happening. It gets answered anyway, and then another followup “question” about the lame Soto trade to Seattle gets asked in which Mark got viciously insulted and attacked … and he answered that one too.

So needless to say, I’m done asking questions and probably won’t be reading the chats too often in the future.

October 9th chat transcript … really over the top insults directed at Mark.

I mean it’s fine to disagree, but telling him he’s “not qualified” to do chats and telling him he should “just quit your job now” … this is why so many people in society are so rude and disrespectful these days, because they are allowed to be.

I still submit questions… why, I have no idea. I guess I should ask about “Mustard or Ketchup?” Oooo, how about “Ketchup or Catsup?”
I asked a similar question about openers… but I added that it seems like starters are having trouble making it through the third inning… could you imagine Randy Johnson or Jack Morris having the manager come out to the mound in the 3rd inning to pull him? They would tell the manager to “go back and sit in the dugout, I got this.”

Any chance the Braves non-tender Richard Rodriguez this off-season? MLBTR projects him to make $3.1 million in arbitration. That’s not going to put a big dent in their payroll, but seeing as he had a big dip in spin rate after the crackdown on sticky stuff, struggling with control, home runs, and lack of strikeouts, I feel the money could be spent better elsewhere.

They said the same things about Melancon last offseason, too. Typically AA likes to give a longer leash to his acquisitions if they hadn’t proven him right just yet, especially if that means he may have to replace them with someone more expensive on the open market.

The “the crackdown on sticky stuff” came around 2 months before Rodriguez was traded. He was fine with the Prates until he was traded.

Same thing happened with Craig Kimbrel after he was traded.

If the Braves non-tender Rodriguez there will be more than a dozen teams lining up to sign hm.

Yeah, and Rodriguez saw a huge dip in RPM. After June 22nd, his fastball RPM went from about 2600-2650 on average and then never touched 2400 after that. In the 2 months leading up to the trade, Rodriguez had a 4.50 ERA, so he really wasn’t ‘fine’ with the Pirates until the trade. From my point of view, Rodriguez was a massively reliant on the sticky stuff and when it was taken away, his effectiveness also went by the wayside. Kimbrel on the other hand did not struggle immediatley after the sticky stuff was being investiagated. Heck, his ERA went down from the time they started to crack down on it up until the trade as he didn’t allow a single ER.

Seldom find myself disagreeing with anything in Mr. Polishuks’ chats.

Solid understanding of the sport. Seems to be grounded in reality regarding the business side.

The thing I like most – no politicking via simplistic arguments making bad guys out of owners, certain FO people, managers, coaches, and/or players (agents are never taken to task). The other MLBTR columnists that do chats would do well to follow his lead.

Cleveland isn’t paying anyone. Unless the new CBA creates a minimum payroll he will never be in a Guardians uniform. Expect their roster to continue to be churned thru trades. Too tight to even try to extend young players before arb years. Yes I know they cheaply bought out a few years of Ramirez. He wishes he didn’t sign that one…

Yeah didn’t know they were not spending money. Then if the NL gets a DH maybe he goes to Cincinnati. He’s been great at 1st though too.

I hope the new CBA gets rid of the 7 inning Doubleheaders and a runner 2nd in extra innings. I hate the dh too but it’s way better than those other two terrible rules.
