Cleveland will not pay that price for Sean Murphy listed in the chat. If Cleveland were willing to pay that price, Murphy would have been a Guardian at last season’s trade deadline.

john – I tend to agree, but usually Mark is right on the money.
I think he just had an off-night, he even referred to the Red Sox shortstop prospect as “Meyer”. LOL

No, he doesn’t know Cleveland and their view of Catchers. They value def catcher and will not trade prospects for mediocrity
Ma4170
He could just be giving his view of the realistic asking price

Forget Burnes, it’ll take too much. Package Grissom with pitching for Adames and solve SS.
User 401527550
That would be a horrible downgrade. And you would give up a top prospect to do it.
RunDMC
Grissom is not a future SS and there’s questions about his bat. Adames had a few years of control, twice the amount of above average offensive seasons than Swanson (per OPS+) and Adames is coming off his best def season, where is was almost as valuable as Swanson. Unless you’re factoring in hair volume, Adames isn’t a downgrade. He’s undervalued and blossoming before a contract year, unlike DS.
Rsox
Grissom could play 2B and Bryce Turang would play SS for the Brewers. However, it seems unless the Braves want to move one of their other team friendly contracts they probably don’t have enough to land Burns.
Adames could see his trade value spike after this year’s round of SS musical chairs ends if some team doesn’t land the player they were hoping for
Ma4170
I would think asking price for woodruff might be a bit lower

On The topic of Click, I wonder if a team you be willing to fire their GM or PoBO to hire Click? Probably not, but it be fun to see.

Someone asked a question of if Brandon Nimmo to the Rays is realistic and then cited Jon Heyman as saying to “watch out for them”. Heyman, being Scott Boras’ media mouthpiece knows better than anyone that Nimmo to the Rays is not realistic unless somehow his market craters. This is just a better way of Heyman saying “mystery team” without actually saying it

I have 5 Thirty-Day Free passes to The Athletic if anybody is interested. They have some pretty good writing there, it’s worth taking a look…particularly if you’re a football enthusiast as well.
