I want to say this about the rangers. They need a good starting pitcher and that pitcher will be cole hamels because he is a top of the line starter. The rangers rotation ERA has been bad so far this year and its over 4. If the send Colby Lewis and some prospects to the Phillies to get cole hamels then the rotation is in a good spot this year. Right now its in a bad situation even though gallardo is very good this year. If you look at the rotation with Cole Hamels for the rangers it looks like this:

    Cole Hamels
    Yovani Gallardo
    Wandy Rodriguez
    Chi Chi Gonzalez
    Nick Martinez

Thats pretty good and it will stop the ERA rising. The second base situation though is kinda of strange and we obviously need help over there even though Alberto has been great in his first 6 games. There are not alot of options at second base for trade wise besides Ben Zobrist, but other than that nothing usual. Overall the rangers right now have been pretty good but the rotation needs help and Colby Lewis has not been a good starter at all his ERA is at 4.48 and thats not good whatsoever. If the rangers strike out on a Cole Hamels then there are other trade options like a Johnny Cueto or a Jordan Zimmerman type pitcher. The rotation right now is not good so I want to see if Jon Daniels will make some calls on pitcher because our staff needs some help. Our bullpen is ok and our bench could use some more right handed bats. On our bench:

    Adam Rosales
    Jake Smolinski
    Carlos Corporan

We could use at least two more right handed bats but there are not alot of options out there. The only bench guy I could think of as a platoon second baseman type is Alberto Callaspo and thats about it but the dodgers probably wont give him up. The rangers are good right now but we need Cole Hamels and some second baseman help. Here is what the trade scenario will look like if the rangers go after cole Hamels form the Phillies:

    Rangers Acquire:
    SP Cole Hamels
    Cash Considerations

    Phillies Acquire:
    SP Colby Lewis
    C Jorge Alfaro
    SP Luke Jackson
    Jake Smolinski

Again this will happen and the rangers have the money and they certainly want Cole Hamels. The Dodgers dont want Cole Hamels. The cardinals can figure out their rotation themselves because they have a great farm system of young pitching. The Red Sox dont need Cole Hamels because of two things:

    1. They are not trading their top prospect Blake Swihart
    2. They have an ace of Clay Buccholz

Thats why the Red Sox dont want Hamels. The Twins dont need him because they have pitching. The Astros are fine with their rotation. The Mariners are doing ok with their rotation because they have an ace of Felix Hernandez. The Texas Rangers want Cole Hamels and the Philadelphia Phillies dont want Cole Hamels. Ruben Amaro and Jon Daniels know each other so this deal will get done and no one wants hamels except the Texas Rangers. They have the money and they have the prospects to get Hamels so please everyone out their in trade rumors believe this stat, rumor, and trade because the Rangers will pull off the biggest trade in MLB. Harold Reynolds believes that the rangers are back and I believe him so please everyone STOP WITH THE SAYINGS THAT “The rangers wont get hamels.” BECAUSE THIS WILL HAPPEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
