Another day another question goes unanswered Well the same question gets answered four times in the same chat

This is probably the worst chat I’ve ever seen. Super slow at answering, 5-6 Phillies questions, multiple questions about machado. This one was awful

For as much as Jason’s chats have improved, he’s notoriously slow at selecting and answering. It’s ok, we used to have zero chats, then 2, now we have 3, all for free.

I like your optimism. I agree, 3 chats are better than 0. This is peak rumor season, so if you don’t get your question answered, don’t be bitter. It’s hard to cater to 2000+ people.

Yeah not even so much a matter of not getting my questions answered, I rarely submit – it’s just the repetition/lack of variety in a 2 hour chat. But you guys are right, it’s cool to have 4, 5, 6 hours a week of chat

I don’t understand how people think that Machado will get 400+million and Harper close to 500 million. Those are not linearly estimated. Sure, historic players are going to attempt and probably set record deals, but those differences are not exponentially increasing…

30-35 Million a year for someone like Macho is not crazy at all. He’s 26. 38 to 40 for Harper is not crazy either esp his caliber and he’s 25 w an MVP already
      Really that’s a low figure.

Consider Zack G gets 34.5 and he will get that at 35, 36, 37 and 38 years of age.
      Your point?

while I tend to agree, paying a position player 35 million at age 35 and 36 screams disaster. Pitchers generally are regarded higher.

8 year 35 million per season should be any teams max. Any team going to 10 years should lower that to 32 million avg.

40 million annually/500 million is by no means “really a low figure”. He obviously is very good but he is also very injury prone so far, which is likely to get worse with age. When he was healthy this year he was great, but he still missed a ton of games. He’s really only had one season that was other worldly. I really don’t see him getting any 12 year, 40 million a year deals. But even if he does, I CERTAINLY don’t agree that that’s a low figure.
