Geez, Jeffrey Todd isn’t biased at all. Braves had more wins than Philly last year, and let’s not forget that there are 2 wildcards. If braves add a decent reliever, they could easily win a wc.
I dont know about easily… It would be a major surprise to the baseball world.
What do the Phillies have to do with it?
The Braves lost 90 games last year.. They’re projected to be lousy at every position except 1B, CF and maybe C, and are projected to be downright awful at 3B and the corner outfield spots. Rotation might be bolstered by Kazmir and McCarthy, but there’s nothing special there. Bullpen mostly stinks. Decent reliever doesn’t change the math. They aren’t as bad as the White Sox, but they have very, very little hope of competing this year.
Correct me if I am wrong, but didn’t the Phillies lose 96 games last year? You think adding a couple of relievers and a first baseman is going to make them a contender? Don’t think so pal. And the only position I see braves being bad at is RF. bullpen is what did them in last year, so if they shore that up, equates to more wins than the Phillies
it is so weird to me that posters complain about a writer being a few minutes late to a free chat or that their questions aren’t coming through. these have been around long enough to understand that there are thousands trying to submit questions, along with Fangraphs.

For the life of me I can’t figure out what Jeff Todd has against Scooter Gennett. Scooter has hit a respectable .254 against LHP. in over 200 AB the last 2 years yet Todd insists he’s unplayable against lefties. Those are the only two years Scooter got any significant playing time vs. LHP. Prior to that the only lefties he saw were lefty specialists who dominate all but the top 10% of LH hitters.
