When asked which prospect would make an impact in 2018, you come up with a Giants “prospect”? Garbage! Verdugo is going to make you look like a fool.

Sal Romano is a very strong candidate for the Red’s rotation. Homer Bailey likely is in also.

Almora (home town kid), Caritini, Almozay and Lange is a pretty solid offer for Yelich. And solve the Cubs Leadoff problem

Might be a good package but how many teams can beat that…most teams could…and for Yelich those teams would…cubs don’t have a chance

Cubs have a chance but it’s certainly not going to be that package that gets him. If any cubs fans think that they are getting yelich without giving up Russell, happ or Baez they’re completely delusional. Add one of those to the above package and you can start a conversation. You’re not giving up a bunch of B level prospects for yelich. Not going to happen.

Jason couldn’t be more wrong about the cardinals getting another bat imo…I don’t think he realizes how much the cardinals think of Jose Martinez…it might be a huge gamble for them but the way Martinez hit last year in the second half was unreal…mark my words he will be the starting first baseman and carpenter at third while Gryko because the super utility guy he was supposed to be…cardinals are done with the offense until at least mid season when maybe Donaldson becomes available

martinez will be on the junk pile and st louis will be wishing grichuk was still there when martinez, pham and fowluper falter. add carpenter to the list of losers.

Where do you swamp people come from? I am by no means a Cardinal fan, but to think Pham was a fluke is just ridiculous and Martinez seems legit too. Fowler and Carp are not the players they once were, but they’ll still be above average at least.. and Carp has even more value because they can stick him anywhere in the infield as well as the batting order (except probably 3rd or 4th I’d guess).

I think MO said something about giving the kid Luke Voit a shot at winning the 1B spot too. Plus Carpenter played all last year with a bum shoulder. Did you forget about the Ozuna trade? They also upgraded the bullpen

Another great chat Jason… helpful, intelligent, professional. I can’t say I agree with all of your opinions, but you’re helpfulness and attention to detail makes you worlds better than most of your colleagues.

That is one downside to Wednesday chats: it takes like 5 minutes to answer a question so there is much less content.

All the players in MLB history who have a career hitting line of over .310/.410/.510. (some of the most famous names in the game’s history) are in the Hall of Fame……except two.

Shoeless Joe Jackson, who is banned, is one.

    Who is the other?
