What do you think the Brewer’s total player’s salary will be in 2019? Can they go up to the $140M level? What number were you using for your Top 50 activity by the Brewers?

I thought there was a Trump rally with the line today, but no, it’s a Tim Dierkes chat — even better!

Exactly what somebody would say if they didn’t get in because of the line.

“An agent spoke to last week contends Machados postseason fadeaway ‘’murdered’’ him. “It might have cost him $100M.”

    nydailynews.com/sports/baseball/ny-sports-matthews…

Do you Buy or Sell this, Tim? Only report Ive seen quantified Manny’s potential monetary loss, from his postseason antics.

Lol no way. That’s kind of a ludicrous quote.

I’m worried about Machado’s splits. In today’s micro analyzing how does it not impact him? The Phillies play in another bandbox but who will continue to bid it up? Don’t get me wrong, he’s getting paid but I just don’t see more than 8 @ $32m average. Amazing money but not what everyone’s saying. Can also see 5 year $36m average with an opt out after the third and fourth years.

Yes I think Machado lost some money with his antics to be honest and maybe that means a few more teams are in to offer a lower overall contract or less years???

Consider the source: an agent who does not represent Machado.

Im more concerned with the OBP than personality but Id be lying if I said the latter wasn’t important.

I have a question, why do baseball players need 100M?

They don’t need it, they want it. Same as people posting on this site; they just want to

No one said they needed it. The market says its there. You think they should turn it down?

Double chat didn’t work that well when replies didn’t match up with the questions.

Agreed… Steve was a little slow today. I’d like to see this again with Tim Dierkes and Jeff Todd instead.

I missed the chat, but don’t sleep on Kinsler. He was very good defensively last year and his avg was hurt by a low babip. While I wouldn’t project a return to prime, I think he could be a major bargain

I thought this headline meant that the top 50 free agents decided to take time out of their day and chat with Tim Dierkes and I was impressed.

I did see Mike Trout in chat, but then again, he’s not a free agent so he probably has plenty of time to chat on the internet.

If you think the third installment of Back to the Future was the best I’d prefer you never post any other opinions on this site. Is there a way I can block anyone that thinks this? Thanks!

I couldn’t figure out which question was being answered. Seemed like a White House press conference……I can see Jim Acosta asking about “Back to the future” tho…..

The difference between this and a WH press conference is that the questions here were actually answered.

Baseball should and always has been a unifying sport for America. Keep politics the hell out of this sport before it becomes like the nba and nfl.

Surprisingly little talk this offseason about MVP Josh Donaldson. Last year, Josh broke off talks with Toronto because they weren’t agreeing on length of contract, nor could they agree on market trend from last offseason. Does Josh get a 4 or 5 year deal? Will he get $100 million?

Walk on the Ocean is still the best Toad the Wet Sprocket song… surprised Good Intentions didn’t make the list!

Baseball related– nice to see a few others are also thinking Harper to HOU. That’s my prediction as well.

Why would the Dodgers want Harper? They have plenty of outfield depth at the major league level and coming up. They need a catcher and bullpen help. Maybe a top notch 2B. But a corner OFer that bats left handed and plays bad defense?
I think San Fran, Hou, Wash, Philly, Cubs and Cards as top destinations. I think the Cubs are the ones that will end up getting him. A couple of salary dump trades (like the one they just did with Smyley) and they’re able to do it. Cubs don’t have the prospects to rely on filling from within. They want to stay relevant

Ah, I see. Scrolled right by him. Not sure about the Padres now that Boras is representing him.
