a fan of Jacoby Jones? lol. that guy could be outhit by Luke Maile on a good day.
As a Blue Jays fan, watching Maile hit was rather disheartening. Although I do remember at the beginning of 2018 he was red-hot and that’s where his nickname “Lukey Barrels” comes from. Obviously, the run wasn’t sustainable and he fell back to earth. As for the hitting comparison, Baseball Reference makes it pretty clear that Jones’s career and 2019 numbers are superior to Maile’s, but Jones is still a well-below average hitter.

You miss the point. He didn’t say they wouldn’t be good closers, but no team is going to use a TOR arm as a closer, unless he can’t handle the innings. There is no evidence that TJ surgery precludes a lot of innings post surgery/rehab.

If the season is affected by lockdowns. Maybe a round robin tournament? Marlins – Mariners series would be cool. I’m sure people would want an asterisk and complain how the winner didn’t win. Would be fun to watch though.

Then what year did you play in the World Series? How many seasons did you play in Texas? What was the Pete Incavigila Rule? How many home runs did you hit in your college junior season? When was your MLB debut?
