I’m torn between pointing out how dumb this comment is, considering that if anyone is under a microscope for cheating in today’s game, it’s the Astros and not without reason. I mean…hey…we did it. But it should be fairly obvious that we’re good. Anyway, torn between that and basically saying kiss the ring because it felt really good to win it and we enjoyed the parade. So I’ll just say both.
I take it you won’t be coming to Eff the Haters Night at MMP anytime soon right? We’re actually kind of having something like that when we host the Yankees in July. Handing out 2019 ALCS championship rings and I’m sure we’ll be seeing that classic Chapman smile on the Jumbotron. Amazing how baseball fans hate someone who didn’t even really participate in the scandal all that much, more than they do a domestic abuser like Chappy, but I digress. It’ll be a fun night at Minute Maid Park. I can look up which night it is if you’d like.

I hate on him. Threw 100 at a players head last year on purpose. Got a whole three games suspension. That’s not how baseball is played. Sure the player got even in the playoffs and got a knock against him but that’s hardly getting even. He should have thrown his bat at him. Chapman is a POS. Probably gets a ring on another team this October and signs with the Yankees this winter again. I guess it’s easy to try to ruin someone’s life when you know you don’t have to stand in the box yourself. Should have been given the rest of the season off last year. Hopefully it’s considered of he does it again.

Yep trading Wheeler makes so much sense. He is 31, and this team isn’t going to be in the next 2yrs. I have been saying it for weeks. I haven’t seen Harper smile all year. I think he will seek a move as early as this off season
But I think the Phillies’ll be buyers at the deadline. Not sellers. They’re only 5 back. Still in the thick of it & they’ve lots of talent on their roster.
If the Yankees are hell bent on staying under the tax, I can’t see it happening though. It’s not the Cole signing that got them, it’s the Stanton trade and signing Britton for 14 million. Side note: judge is a FA after next year. You signing him or letting him walk?
Taking Mayer with the #1 overall pick wouldn’t be stupid because he’s a HS shortstop. It would be stupid because when you have the #1 overall pick you need to always take the BPA, or whoever you think is the BPA. If they don’t genuinely believe that Mayer is the BPA then they shouldn’t take him.
Angels aren’t winning anything with this team and manager. Takes more than what they have to win. As the commenter above mentioned the current outfield is maybe not even replacement level. Neither is Maddon. Good luck.

Agreed, every team except the Marlins can win the NL East – easily the weakest division in MLB.
