KC Royals:
10-1 in last 11 games
5-1 against Houston
11 games isn’t 162 though. They need to find 4 more Reagans, and at least 2 more Witts, surrounded by a few league average guys. I’d trade Massey, move Garcia to 2nd. Sign Urshela, or my personal choice would be Justin Turner. The K is huge, and their OF defense is garbage. Sign Harrison Bader for CF. He’s got injuries, but if healthy, he’s covering the entire county. I’d hold onto Singer, and I sure wouldn’t trade him for India like the Reds wanted. I’d give Hunter Renfroe a look. He’s a decent corner OFer, and a modest 2 year deal is also a decent trade chip if he finds his bat again. Buy a couple guys like Syndergard and Mahle and let them throw. won’t cost a ton. They have options. And ones that could have some upside. But they seem to not want to spend ANY money.
Agreed. Plenty to do. However, the record at the end of the year is a nice bright spot in an otherwise terrible year for the Royals.
The royals don’t care about the team at all right now. Their main focus is on a new unneeded stadium.
The comments about a Perez trade seem a little off base since it was confirmed by the front office that a deal to ship a veteran out was in the works at the trade deadline but they supposedly ran out of time. They didn’t say Salvy but one would have to assume it was him. Also I think it’s likely he waves his 10-5 rights to go to Miami since he has a home there. Granted the Royals would have to eat a huge portion of his salary but I dont think that’s out of the question with Sherman as owner. It at least seems more possible than these folks made it sound
