Will the Padres make a meaningful move?
The Cardinals should be shopping Fedde hard. That’s their best chance to get some value out of trading Tommy Edman. If they hold on to Fedde, it’s going to be another deal fans look back at and groan. Even if it made sense at the time, (and it did) it won’t be remembered that way if Tommy continues to be a big part of a Dodger machine and Fedde continues in mediocrity and leaves after the season.
If the Blue Jays sign Steve Adams to play shortstop, it might not even be the worst move Adkins and Shapiro ever made.
