If DeBartolo has a brain and the Lerners haven’t told him not to sell one of and only gate draws, he’ll trade Gore for MLB-ready and near-ready pieces to save this rebuild for the 2020s.
Agree, at best they are playoff contenders in ‘27 and Gore would have one season of control left. They could get a haul if he was available at the deadline with the lack of TOR starters available/pitching like TOR starters.
Not sure why he would’ve assured you that lol….The Braves over rush a couple of pitchers every year and he’s the next victim. But its all they could do honestly.
@braveshomer: I didn’t, but Rebuild’s desperate need to troll me and misrepresent everything I (and a few others) say to him results in these troll attacks. He can’t stand anyone disagreeing w/him.
Braves need to sell unless they think this group is going to magically turn around regression that has been going on since last season or not sell because all AA will do in the off season is sign another 200 cast offs like last winter.
AA brought in one of the best free agent bats of the offseason last winter. There’s no way he could look into the future and know the guy would test positive for PED’s months later. People’s selective memory of the moves AA makes will always fascinate me
Nahhhhhhh. He lingered on the market forever because 29 teams didn’t believe his late career breakout season was real.
AA took a couple of stupid pills and decided to pay Profar for 3 years.
There’s your reality check. You’re welcome.
Ozuna lasted all offseason a few years ago until AA picked him up and has done pretty damn good since. If you can prove to me that no other team made Profar offers all offseason, which you can’t, because they did, you might have a point.
A high-impact bullpen arm seems like the obvious need in Toronto. There are a number of relievers performing ok but 1) it’s a group position so it’s easier to add quality without directly displacing someone equally talented, and 2) pitchers always get hurt or tired.
Go get a lock down setup man and a depth starter (literally like a AAAA kind of guy) and this roster is good to go.
I think all teams would like a high impact bullpen arm.
Firings in Washington
What an unusual headline.
Stop misrepresenting what I — and others here — say, Rebuild. You’re easy to fact check if anyone wants to bother doing so. I said I liked Fuentes because of the way he pitched in the Spring Breakout Game during Spring Training. I didn’t say he was “ready.” I only said that I was looking forward to seeing what he could do—PERIOD. You claimed after his first start that he had good “command and control.” It’s obvious to everyone that Fuentes isn’t ready to stay up. He needs a 3rd pitch and has to develop command of both his fb and slider because he’s wild in the strike zone. Good control. w/ZERO command of his pitches at this point. Btw—-are you so insecure that you have to constantly twist what others say? I’ll stop short of calling you a liar, but you constantly create false narratives.
Dude, just stop responding. You’re giving him what he wants. Just ignore him and let him scream into the void. Even if he mentions you by name, just let it go knowing he’s trying to provoke you. He’s not worth your time or energy.
@Fowlerrc: You’re right. He said a couple of weeks ago that he was “going to get me banned.” Obvious that he’s trying to provoke me into saying something that he can cry to the mods about. Twisting my words in a lame attempt to do so is his go to troll attack plan. I don’t mute anyone here. I won’t mute him because it’s too much fun laughing at his desperate need to be “right” about something. His “there ya go” plan to “fix” the Braves next season was pure comedy gold.
All I heard was: “I don’t use analytical or statistical analysis.” But good luck with your trolling the rest of the season
Oh trust me, everyone knows exactly where you stand at this point. You shout it from the rooftops anytime anyone mentions the Braves. It’s only when someone asks you to back up anything you claim with analytics that you finally shut up.
Funny how you don’t mention these guys contracts or the money or term they signed for. That’s all been conveniently left out. That Swanson contract was and still is a huge overpay. Ask Philly fans about Turner’s underachievement, especially relative to his contract, despite him having a good start to this season. This what you do all the time. You tell half the story, if that, and then pretend like it makes you smarter than everyone else.
Go back and read your post in the Chris Sale to the IL thread on June 23rd. I’m not re-typing that whole damn thing for you. But I told you where to find it. From the horses mouth. Now, I’m done. As I said before, good luck with your trolling
Jeff Dude, welcome to the internet.
Do you have any friends IRL? It could be helpful for your social skills development.
Crying on a mlbtr threads is a very weird hobby. Go outside and get some daylight.
Boston
You sound as though you’re having a good cry about people disagreeing with others.
Go and get some warm sun, “dude”, and as you’re a subscriber, maybe you’ll complain to Mr Dierkes for a ban for me for disagreeing with you, as that is what this site has become, a ban-o-thon.
@McGriff HR: Boston troll garbage. Another coward hiding behind the anonymity of the internet to insult those he can’t IRL. Almost didn’t read his troll because I’m used to skipping his worthless, never baseball related comments. Laughable that he pays just to troll on the site.
It’s official: the Braves are bad.
Is that different than hawks and doves?
FYI- armchair GM’S, living in your mama’s basement – -you don’t trade a top 100 Prospect for a rental.
Mariners suck! Sell the team and bring in the Sonics.
