Who is the healthy team heading into the playoffs? Seems like the top teams are already starting to rest or stumbling to the finish line with the M’s playing good and healthy ball.
The consensus from Cardinal beat writers and indications from Chaim Bloom are full rebuild next year, but Cardinal fans seem to think they can still contend. This seems ridiculous since all the investments are going to development infrastructure and coaching, not payroll. As a lifelong Cardinal fan who remembers the pre-Pujols years, I’m hoping to blow it up, let the prospects have a chance, and build a team that can compete with Milwaukee and Chicago in 2027 because competing in 2026 is unrealistic.
