The non-tender deadline is Friday evening. Teams need to decide whether they want to offer contracts to their arbitration-eligible (and pre-arbitration) players. Those who are not tendered contracts are sent directly into free agency without exposing them to waivers.
As is the case each winter, MLBTR contributor Matt Swartz has projected salaries for the arbitration class. Some of those players have already been dropped from the roster. A few of the most obvious cuts were dropped within the first five days of the offseason as teams needed to get their offseason roster counts back to 40 without the benefit of the injured list.
Some more were designated for assignment on Tuesday as teams opened space for prospects whom they wanted to keep out of the Rule 5 draft. Those players remain in DFA limbo and are marked below with an asterisk. There’s still a scenario in which they’re tendered a contract. The club that DFA them could trade them before Friday to a team that is fine with the projected arbitration price and keeps them around. While that might happen for a player or two, the vast majority of them will just be non-tendered.
Not everyone who is tendered a contract will know their salary this week. Some players will sign “pre-tender” deals that lock in guaranteed money. Many of them are borderline non-tender candidates who will take salaries below their projection to ensure they stay on the roster at all. (A’s catcher Austin Wynns has already taken this kind of deal.) Those who don’t sign but are tendered a contract could have a few months of uncertainty. They’re free to continue negotiating with their clubs to find a mutually agreeable salary until the date of their arbitration hearing.
The collective bargaining agreement incentivizes borderline roster players to settle without a hearing even if they’re tendered a contract. Arbitration settlements are fully guaranteed. Salaries determined at a hearing (regardless of whether the arbitrator chose the club’s or player’s filing figure) are not locked in until the beginning of the regular season. If a player whose salary was determined at a hearing is released during the offseason or in Spring Training, they’re only entitled to termination pay. That’d be 30 days at their prorated salary if the release occurs more than 15 days before Opening Day and 45 days of termination pay if the release happens within 15 days of the start of the season.
As we do each offseason, we’ll take a look at arb-eligible players we believe have a realistic shot at being let go. To be clear, this is not a list of players we think are likelier than not to be non-tendered. These are players we consider to have at least a 10-20% chance of being cut — a broad group who wouldn’t strike us as completely surprising. We’re only looking at players who are eligible for arbitration. There’ll be plenty of pre-arbitration players from the back of teams’ rosters who are dropped (often to immediately re-sign on minor league deals), but those are outside the scope of this post.
Onto the list, with Matt’s projected salaries:

The Yankees would have non-tendered their list of players here, or a few of them, before exposing some interesting prospects to the Rule 5. I gather the same for other teams who have a full 40-man rosters too. .
Eh I don’t think that’s true. Even separate from the arb-eligible players listed, they’re still carrying Braden Shewmake, Allan Winans and Jayvien Sandridge on the 40. If they had other prospects they were really concerned about losing, they could have made room pretty easily
They still have to replace non-tendered guys with MLB players so its not one for one
Is there a reason why the Padres would non-tender Jason Adam? Is it related to the financial issues they are having? Wouldn’t they be able to find a trade partner for him considering the salaries some relievers are getting?
It’s kind of a headscratcher of an article, but all the Padres listed are NOT being Non-Tendered. It’s all seemingly random speculation. Adam will be healthy and effective in (more than likely) an 8th inning role.
Thanks G. It’s what I also thought; but, figured you would know if there is a health issue I’m unaware of with Adam.
How is it a headscratcher? It’s not a list of non-tenders…it’s a list of those who have had at least some speculation of being non-tendered.
And some of those on the list are headscratchers. Just my free opinion, take it for what it’s worth. I enjoyed the read, just curious to see some of these names here.
i had the same thought- but there are always interesting releivers that get non tendered- Last year Jacob Webb (Os at the time), Kyle Finnegan, tanner Rainey, Dillon Tate were sort of the cream of the releiver non tenders- but the hitters includied Ramon Learano.
You never really know, so anyone who projects to be valuable but not their arb cost should be listed.
That’s why it says 10% chance of it happening as the lower limit. Try to read before complaining.
And you would be correct. Very odd seeing Gavin Lux there for example.
Why is seeing Gavin Lux there odd? He’s set to make about 5M$ for a team with a tight budget….he’s a strict platoon player with zero power and only good defensively at 2B. I’d say it’s 50/50 whether or not the Reds jettison him in the next 24 hours. They need that salary to fill their LF/BP roles.
Didn’t he blow out his quad or knee? He’s likely done for at least half the year
At worst he will miss 10 weeks, but he is shooting for ST. (ruptured quad but he’s healing well.)
Padres are broke
Sure HATER lol
You’ll see when they trade tatis for payroll
And i just hate prellar not san diego
Lmao k
But he’s so likeable…
He’s entertaining but hes more off his rocker than John.
Pads have done well pivoting a loser franchise into a respectable organization
He seems easy to sign and trade later if needed
And that’s the bottomline, Vegas. Half the League would want Adam, and some would make him Closer. That holds value, a potential 10 weeks missed or not.
Yeah if Rasiel Iglesias is getting 1Y/16M and Adam is projected for 6.8M, he has surplus value. Adam had a 1.93 ERA/3.07 FIP, and Iglesias was at 3.21 ERA and 3.31 FIP.
Iglesias is a little older, has the closer title, Adam is coming off the quad injury, so there are some other variables but the gap between these two guys is not ~$10M. Even looking at some of the other projections from MLBTR, with Emilio Pagan and Gregory Soto at 2Y/16M, Adam at 1Y/6.8M is much more attractive. If they want to move him, someone will take him.
Sure, if he’s healthy. Only the team with the medicals knows that.
He’s going to miss most if not all of 2026 with an injury. No team non-tenders a player because of financial issues, they trade them.
This flat out contradicts all reporting indicating Adam is targeting Opening Day. It is supposition, at best.
I rescind the quarter gold star I awarded you.
msn.com/en-us/sports/mlb/padres-jason-adam-provide…
Only issue with Adam is that he ruptured his quad late last season. If the padres didn’t think that he’d be healthy for much of next season, maybe they’d save the money with a non tender.
But the bullish speculation from Adam is that he is targeting being ready by opening day.
He’s 98% likely to get tendered, or sign an extension.
But yeah, 2% chance the padres don’t like his health outlook.
Still pretty ridiculous that Luis Campusano is being projected as a “possible” Non-tender. He led AAA in Batting Average, was 3rd in Homers and will make (roughly) a milly. AJ Preller has already stated that Campy will be “in the mix” next year, but go on and speculate away with yer bad selves…
First of all, GMs lie all the time. Second of all, Campusano is out of options, so he can’t be sent to AAA. Third, he’s a really bad defender and hasn’t shown an ability to hit enough to be a first baseman
Don’t need Options if you’re on the Active Roster. Played 1B, DH and C all last year… and led the AAA world in hitting. He’s very controllable, making a *cheap* mil, and making the squad.
He’s 27 and has -.7 bWAR in the bigs in his career, out of options. Strong candidate to be removed. Wasn’t good enough to play on the team last year, even though “he led AAA” yet you want to sacrifice a 26 man spot to him all of 2026.
Tendering him a contract does not obligate a team to keep him for the whole season. It keeps him on the team until they decide he is not one of the chosen 26..
Tomato, tomahto Mr. kin. We’ll find out soon! 🤙🏽🍻
Correct stymee, but it requires they pay him and allow him to take up a valuable roster spot until that date.
If they foresee him having any impact on the big league team then they’ll tender him. If they don’t, then they won’t.
$1MM for a controllable backup C and part-time RH 1B/DH that hit *really well* last year (granted, AAA…) isn’t a NT candidate, again, in my opinion.
“Sacrifice a 26 man spot to him all of 2026.”
First, there is no “all of 2026” decision by tendering a 1 mil (about 200k over league min).
Second, #26 on a roster of even a competitive team is likley a negative WAR, 1 mil type player.
Third, SD needs a RH bench bat, a backup C, a RH DH and a backup 1b (maybe starter).
At 1 mil, why isn’t Campy on your list over about 50-75 other guys with negative WAR and in some cases, more than 1 mil.
I believe he would have to clear waivers, but then yes he could be sent down. Only veterans with more than 5 years of service time can refuse the assignment and opt to become a FA instead.
The list seems to encompass players with even a tiny, remote chance of being non-tendered. There are some real stretches. I just can’t see the Yankees cutting loose Doval and Bird for example.
He’s a horrible catcher. Most teams prefer a no-hit, all-glove guy as their backup C.
But is the money guaranteed?
If tendered a Contract then yes it becomes guaranteed, kcmark. Only a trade or work stoppage would “get a team out” from paying the alloted amount.
You ever heard of a AAAA player? That’s Luis Campusano.
So he can never be a convenient and competent MLB roleplayer?
MLB minimum is $780k and he makes $1 million. He is the only catcher other than Fermin on the Padres 40-man roster. The GM flat out said he would be on the major league roster in 2026.
Basically, all of your arguments are nonsense.
Campusano can refuse assignment and become a FA. He would forfeit the $1 million contract he is under now. He won’t be non-tendered so it’s a moot point.
As pointed out elsewhere in the comments if they go to an arb hearing they can cut Campusano before opening day and only have to pay him 1 month’s termination pay. But Preller has never gone to an arb hearing before so the discussion is academic.
Agreed. Preller’s attempting to make Campy more desirable as a trade prospect. That’s it.
I do think that is a possibility and I’ve said for a while, what we don’t know is whether or not AJ has totally soured on him (2025 was a good indicator) but if he has, I’ll take traded but not non-tendered for only $1 Mil.
What AJ has recently said – sounds like he makes it to ST.
What transpired in 2025 – looks like he is traded if they find a partner.
Preller said publicly that Luis Patino absolutely 100% won’t be traded less than a week before trading him for Blake Snell, not that that trade didn’t work out.
As for Campusano, like half the Padres’ starters actively refused to throw to him in 2022-23.
If Preller really believes in him, he wouldn’t bury him in the minors or play him above such studs as Elias Diaz or Maldonado.
Not saying I know half the real truth, but I really do think AJ had particular “concerns” with Campy and was trying to show him the way/teach him what’s up/keep him under his thumb. Admittedly, ’25 was a strange showing for Campy even though he was All-World at AAA.
Fair enough. Maybe letting him boost his confidence and not get jerked around until he gives him one last shot at the job? It’s not easy when you’re up and down and playing 1-2 days a week.
Written directly above the list: “To be clear, this is not a list of players we think are likelier than not to be non-tendered. These are players we consider to have at least a 10-20% chance of being cut”
Plenty of guys mash in AAA and aren’t given much of a chance in MLB
I get it Billy, I just don’t think Campy even comes close to that low bar parameter. IMHO.
is there a 10% chance everything is preller bluffing yes…. heck Allen was literally just traded from the braves after this list (so i assume tendered by the astros otherwise why trade for him).
The fact that campy was in AAA all last year makes a non tender at least a 10% shot when he is out of options.
I think Campusano is more likely to be tendered a contract than he is to actually still be in the Padre organization come Opening Day. Surely some sort of “change of scenery” trade can be arranged for reasonable value.
this is kind of the time to make that trade (now and late spring training)
Why would you trade any prospect at all for a DH who went hitless last year and is out of options?
@Fernando
Catching depth and betting that he can do better if given a change of scenery.
Also betting that there is at least something there with his Triple A numbers.
Campy will never play behind the plate at the major league level again.
@Fernando
Your opinion has been noted and assigned the appropriate consideration.
If I’m right you have to change your name to Misinformed Sportsball Discussion.
@Fernando
I have to do nothing. And will do nothing you tell me to, ever. Thanks.
Don’t delete your account.
@Fernando
Funny. I award you one quarter of a gold star for being clever on the internet.
I tend to agree with Fernando, if he were viewed as a catcher he’d have been traded by now or playing there in the bigs.
@mrkinsm
And that could, in fact, be what happens. I simply think the Pads might be able to trade him to someone for something.
I never said I thought he would stick in the bigs. Indeed, I would be more inclined to think the Padres would simply keep him if I viewed his eventual success in the big leagues as the likeliest outcome.
How many NFTs can I buy with a whole gold star?
Playing him behind the plate for even one pitch at the major league level this past season wasn’t even a discussion for AJ.
@JSC Cubbs
Over 9000.
There’s a term for players like that: AAAA player
@Gwynning And with terrific strike zone judgment.
He’s on the old side (27 in 2026) for a guy w/ just 592 MLB PA and only one good 1/4 season in MLB, but he didn’t hit 336/441/595 at El Paso just because it’s the PCL.
No offense to the author because I have read this from several different sources now. There is a zero chance of Bohm being non-tendered. Zero chance. The Phillies will absolutely tender him a contract, and then they still very well may trade him. Alec Bohm can hit, just not for very much power. He has improved his defense enough to justify a $10M salary.
Perhaps they are predicating it on the notion that the Phillies drop a bunch of money to resign Schwarber and then go all-in and sign Bregman too. That’s the only scenario I could imagine them non-tendering Bohm.
dude isn’t worth $11 Million! The Phillies are talking about trading him — so if there’s nobody willing to offer much, then the scenario where Bohm is non-tendered on Friday may come true. ‘
If Philly doesn’t want him on the team, they don’t want to pay him $11M! Teams that could be interested may prefer to wait til he’s non-tendered so they can sign him for $6-7M
@SteveT – MLBTR has had a negative view of Bohm all the way along. I agree that he is not going to be NT – he is a solid albeit middle of the pack 3B. A one year $10-11M deal for that is more than fine, and he is the bridge to Miller unless he is traded.
Bohm has been a blind spot around here since I can remember…not saying that Bohm is great but the saberdude leanings can tend to magnify their own opinions at times.
Edmundo Sosa has outplayed Bohm and deserves to start over him, but the Phillies would have no infield depth if they don’t bring Bohm back. It’ll be an interesting decision for sure. I would lean towards moving on from him because he hits for no power, he did not even have 20 doubles in 2025.
@ph93 – I love having Sosa on the team, but one should be realistic. Every time that he has to play long stretches he tends to get overexposed as a hitter that is capable of being an above average starter. He is streaky and lacking in plate discipline but a very valuable infield ute for sure.
N0w if they trade Bohm and need to cover 3B in some sort of timeshare with Sosa and Kemp until Miller is ready, we can probably live with that but starting Sosa over Bohm is an optimistic take on what Sosa is as a hitter.
If you’ve read it from multiple sources, then the odds are above 0%.
They’ve been trying to get rid of him for over a year.
Trading him for something is one thing; a NT quite another. Again, a one year deal for $10-11M is hardly an issue for a middle of the pack 3B in MLB. He does not have a lot of surplus value but in a market where there are not many clear upgrades that won’t cost far more than they are worth (Bregman) there is no reason to let him go for nothing.
Supply and demand – this is a weak FA market at most positions, and when one looks around the league there are a lot of “starting” 3B that are no even as good as Bohm.
They are certainly shopping him and would love to find a match from what everyone is hearing but a simple dump just does not make much sense.
@Seamaholic If that were the case they would have non-tendered him last year. Cleanest and easiest way to “get rid of” a guy with no guaranteed contract if “getting rid of” him is your primary goal with him.
There is a tendency for people here to overreact to minor posts. Being on the list of people who could theoretically be non-tendered doesn’t mean they will be, or even if it’s remotely likely.
It’s like the random minor league FA signings in January. Filling out your AAA/ST rosters doesn’t mean that this person will lead your ML team in games. It’s just fodder in the org. Maybe a contract pans out every few years. Why get hugely keyed up (other than sheer boredom)?
Mountcastle is the likeliest non-tender of any player. Feel bad he never break through like Showalter/Duquette regime assumed, but with Basallo and Mayo right there, Elias is going to cut bait.
I couldn’t agree more. I’ll double-down and predict he ends up in San Diego locked into a 1B/DH platoon with Gavin Sheets.
Good call. I’d like to see him and Laureano do well together.
he may be just cheap enough they keep him around to see if they can find enough plate appearances to trade him for value at th deadline….. but the time to move on from him was 2 years ago
I suspect Preller still believes in Campy, hence he was never traded. Just a hunch.
Believe on or hope for or just hasn’t found a trade partner. Could be any of the above.
I don’t think there is any chance Raley, Santos, or Kowar get non-tendered, not at that low of a price for each. Thornton maybe, especially considering his injury that will likely cut into the start of next year.
Mariners fan here. Even at the low salary, there’s at least a 50% chance that Luke Raley gets non-tendered. He didn’t hit at all last year (no power) and spent half the season on the IL.
And even though Kowar’s projection is $800K, barely more than minimum MLB salary, you still have to consider more than the $$$,
Santos could be non-tendered for the same reason. Two miserable season after trading for a guy who was looking like an elite relief arm. ‘Mariners have more $$ than usual to spend. Good chance they’ll non-tender one or two of these fellas to make room for BETTER PLAYERS.
Really? I think all 3 seem like obvious non-tenders. Raley doesn’t have a path at 1B now that Naylor is on board for 5 years, and as a left handed hitting RF he’s functionally no different than Canzone, just worse. Kowar sucks, Dipoto and crew are masters at finding useless bullpen arms on the cheap and churning out a useful arm. Santos ineffectiveness and injury history the last two calendar years makes him an obvious pick too.
I don’t think Raley is cheap for what he is, but it’s not just about the price, it’s about roster space and options, or lack of.
Do they really want to carry two lefty outfielders that need platoon partners, or relievers that have an injury history and haven’t produced?
The team has all the data and knows their health best, but it wouldn’t surprise me at all if all three are non-tendered, or even traded over the next 24h, though that seems less likely.
Reeae McGooner (McGuire) had a very surprising season with the Cubs but I think he’ll now be caught by someone else given himself “a stranger”
Just tell him to keep his biznass to the hotel room… haha
I hope Oswaldo stays in New York. He’s a great guy on the bench along with Rosario hopefully comes back
are you really a Yankee fan? Instead of getting excited for NY to go after Tucker or bring back Bellinger (or signing both) you’re pining for Oswaldo Cabrera. He can’t hit! Players like this are discarded all the time by teams who want GOOD PLAYERS!
What exactly do you love about Cabrera?
Lol settle down there dude. The yanks’ decision on Cabrera has literally no bearing or significance to their ability to sign a bigger name. Why are you getting so worked up about another fan’s comment about the actual content of this post? A lot of us yankees fans like Cabrera for his personality, hustle and the versatility he can bring to the roster. People can care about multiple, various things.
I think that some team will decide that $2M is worth it and trade for him, either before or after Friday. He’s exposed if he starts more than 45-50 games, but he has a solid arm and the staff seemed to like pitching to him.
Wouldn’t surprise me if Alec Bohm is traded this week
I was surprised to see Matt Vierling as a potential NT as well with a projected cost of $3.1M. Does he have an injury issue that affects next season?
Vierling is a RH bat in a predominately LH OF in Detroit. Unlike Malloy and Jones, he is solid defensively and can play CF. He is also someone that was acquired by Harris (rather than Avila) so I don’t see him being nontendered.
I’d like to see the Cubs go get Vierling as a 5th OF and backup 3B. The Cubs are going to have three LH outfielders if Suzuki is at DH, so being able to have Vierling PH for Caissie for example would be a good thing. He would also be insurance if Shaw slumps badly in season #2.
Who would everyone say are the likeliest players to get cut by Fridays deadline ?
My response went elsewhere, but I think Johnathan India. His declined production is not worth $7M…
As an Astros fan hopefully sanchez
Mountcastle is the likeliest NT to me, Votto.
Kinda weird to see Manoah’s name on the list. Jays boot him, Braves pick him up, he hasn’t thrown a pitch for them and they’re going to cut him loose? Unless he’s injured, I can’t see this one.
Wouldn’t everything you just said make it more likely he’d get non-tendered? Dude hasn’t shown any semblance of command since 2022.
@yick04
So they got him to get rid of him? I don’t see the logic in that.
They kicked the tires, and maybe there’s a minute chance a tire is beyond repair. I do get your point though, NoSaint. Throw a spare donut on there and ride it out through Spring Training at least…
It’s a minor league deal. Jays got Eloy Jimenez last year; he didn’t play any major league games, and now he’s gone. This happens literally all the time.
@yick04
Manoah has a track record of success prior to his injury. He put up a 5.9 fWAR in about 300 IP during that time. He’s cheap, controllable through ARB, and has 2 options remaining. As @Gwynning said, have a look at him in spring training. If he’s good enough the Braves have a rotation arm. If he isn’t but can be fixed they burn an option and work on him in the minors. If neither of those is true then drop him.
Jimenez is a bad fielding, average at best hitting OF. There is no comparison to Manoah.
Manoah had one dominant season and one really good season. He’s been bad longer and more recently than he was good at this point.
This type of thing happens a lot with pitchers.
It’s a moot point now. The Braves non-tendered him.
Feel kinda bad for these guys who take their lumps and first chance they get for a raise, it’s non tender city and latch on with a minor league deal.
Jonathan India. Not worth $7M with his declining production…
Who put Bohm on this list? 100% zero freaking chance he is non tendered lmao Clownery.
He will
Bleday’s a non-tender candidate because he ain’t a CF.
Bleday has already been DFAed by the A’s a day or two ago. Don’t think anyone will pick him up just to give him a raise. He’ll get signed for less after he clears waivers and is released.
After the trade with the Angels that brought in Ward, I can see Mountcastle being even more of a non tender candidate. With Basallo, Mayo and the possibility of a run at Alonso, combined with the salary on Ward and O’Neill, they are going to cut where they can and that lands on mountcastle more than anyone else right now. Hopefully they can sneak a trade in by Friday deadline but not looking likely.
I want to see him do well – San Diego would be a good landing spot for him. Miami and Pittsburgh are possible destinations as well.
I’d take McCarthy as an insurance policy for CF. He’s right about average offensively on his career. Don’t know what happened last year.
The A’s need to keep hold of Luis Medina he is a quality pitcher
I like Luis Garcia staying with Nationals but that was before I noticed his salary for next season.
Feels like Pavin Smith for $2.4MM shouldn’t have made this list. Arizona has little to nothing at 1B
The idea is they could non-tender him then bring him back for less money, maybe…
Tigers probably will NT all 3 on the list who they haven’t already DFA’d- Ibanez, Vierling, Briske…
Vierling seems like he could still be a decent player in the future, but I highly doubt any team would be willing to paying him $3.1m after he was injured almost all season.
Doval is not going to be non tendered.
Thanks for doing all the work to produce this list.
Awwww man. I built a whole 26 man roster than accidentally hit reply scrolling back down and lost it😤
I hope the Angels take a chance on Alec Monah if he’s NT. Maybe our new PC can fix him.
I’d be sad to see the Mets drop Reed Garrett, even if he’s going to miss the entire season after having Tommy John surgery in October. His two years in Flushing have been solid bullpen work, and the team badly needs that. Have to imagine someone would stash him on a two-year deal if he’s cut loose.
Lighten up, it won’t get that far. They could (will?) non-tender him and immediately sign him to a 2-year minor league deal themselves at the projected arbitration salary. And keep in mind that most teams don’t have the money that the Mets do to pay players who will not perform this year. And the ones that do have the money already have bullpens that are in far better shape than the Mets’, so would not need him.
That said, Garrett’s work has been a mixed bag.
The Mets can do that in a minor league deal with Reed so he can continue to rehab with the organization.
Curious that you have Reed Garrett on this list, but not Tylor Megill. The local NY coverage has posed a Megill non-tender as a plausible possibility.
Tylor McGill should be on the starters list. He has 2 years left to go before free agency and he will lose 2026 because of TJ and 2027 would be the only year he could be healthy.
All those Reds will be, but you forgot Santiago Espinal.
Espinal was outrighted and elected free agency last month
Thanks. Missed that one somehow.
I doubt Banda is nontendered for that price.
The Marlins will definitely tender Bender.
With Nardi they may be tardy.
It depends on whether his back issues are long term or not
Poor troll.
All he was trying to do is get something to eat. Who said those G.o.a.t.s owned the.dmn bridge anyways???
Huh?
Have they never heard of squatters’ rights?
I really don’t see Fry as a candidate. He has good power and multi position flexibility and 1.2 million is a bargain for that guy.
Just saw your commented after I posted mine…..
I don’t think Festa or Brennan survive the NT candidacy. Fry being a RH bat is another key component to keeping him.
Agreed, Brennan should be gone, Jones too for that matter.
Very interesting, i did not see a single Jay on this list, did they already non-tender their players???
They sent Tate, Burr, and Sandlin outright which were essentially early non-tenders for them.
Thanks Votto, have not been around for awhile so missed those moves.
Pavin Smith and Anthony Banda had too good of seasons to not be worth a couple mil. “The Dodgers’ bullpen is expensive” and “The Dodgers’ bullpen is too crowded for Banda” are mutually exclusive statements. Did I miss something in Arizona? Running Smith out there as the 1B is hardly a bad idea, especially for a couple mil…
As a Tribe fan, I’d be pretty surprised if Fry is non-tendered, given the extreme lack of RH bats on this roster. – not to mention he was a rather serviceable player before the elbow injury. I’m thinking Brennan and/or Nolan Jones get NT’d, though.
Wishful thinking of Festa, too. 😅
You have Holderman listed as a non tender candidate but he was already dfa’d to make room at the rule 5 protection deadline.
Players are now entitled to full season termination pay if they are cut in spring training under the new CBA

Very good catch Max. Although what you just said is only true if the team and the player avoided arbitration without a hearing, per your own link.
My team’s PBO has never gone to an arb hearing.
lucchesi I wouldn’t be surprised if he was tendered a contract. He actually had a good showing last year and for a team that needs to fill out it’s bullpen a 2mm number isn’t unreasonable even if it is just for depth
For 2m or so for Reese McGuire, the guy can certainly rub one out in a pinch…
I’m sure there’s a team that can use a quickie.
I’ll see myself out,
… take my upvote
I get Andrew Nardi, but Anthony Bender?
Garrett Stubbs is a steal.
Wow, 2 of the top prospects from the Montas deal. That trade didn’t work out for anyone.
