Bregman really interrupted what this site is now about which is Red Hot juicy minor-league signings!!
Minor league signings may not be sexy but they can end up being important.
Eric Lauer was a minor league signing last off season for the Jays.
He went on to pitch 104 2/3 innings of 3.18 ERA ball (2.2 bWAR of value) and helped stabilize a faltering rotation mid-season.
Now he’s gonna be making 4+ million and be a key lefty outta the pen with Flute. Hopefully Little and his in the dirt knuckle curve is gone
Lol!
I disagree that the Brewers 9 pretty decent guys that clicked will get them back there. Outspent or whatever I think they’re behind the cubs, not trading Peralta for a haul and trying to surprise/out system the cubs I think would be a mistake. Franchises like the brewers are made and broken on maximizing a freak like peralta.
You move from an ace to a controllable 4, two high end prospects, lotto ticket or AAAA swing type.
And then you try to punch above your weight class again, trade for a freaking CC in August if you’re convinced youre legit again.
Rangers fan. Impressed with the Brewers roster construction/payroll management. This just seems like the way to me
They see me knolln …. They hatin!
Skubal will win his case. He is the only pitcher to either lead the league in ERA or win a Cy Young to go to an arbitration hearing and he did both last season and the season before. The panel cannot favor precedent 11 years ago over the rules in the CBA.
Nope
